A proper log, or perhaps (if this is what you tried to share) a
screenshot uploaded online would be better.

Which VMFS version?

2020-04-28 Thread pradeep pal
Hi All,

If we do these changes. any impact in production?

@Andrija Panic<mailto:andrija.pa...@gmail.com>, Please find the VMFS version
screenshot.

One more thing When we create VMs through the template, the template is
successfully copied on secondary storage, but when it goes on primary storage
the VM creation failed.

Hi Sergey,

The problem is resolved after changing the settings given below.

vmware.create.full.clone false after change to True issue solved.

Thanks to everyone.

Most likely this timeout is set to 20 min at present
"vmware.vcenter.session.timeout". If you use full clones on vmware set it to at
least 1 hour. Actual cloning time depends on the size of the root disk and
speed of your storage array.

Thanks,
Sergey

Increase all limits to "-1" as already suggested by Marc-Andre and if it
still fails, please paste full management logs on the pastebin or similar
(or attach the management-server.log on some external service)

Hi Pradeep,

What is the context of the issue, have you upgraded an existing environment to
a newer version? Can you please check the error stack trace on the management
server logs? Or also paste it here.

Hello,

What is your mysql-connector-java version ? < rpm -qa | grep
"mysql-connector-java” >, if it is 8 then you need to downgrade to 5.x.

Hi,
Looks like you have an issue with mysql configuration where the mysql
server is running with localhost binding. Try to run the mysql server below
config and restart cloudstack service.
/etc/my.cnf
bind-address="0.0.0.0"

recheck your credentials that you defined while setup-cloudstack-databases
script - clearly management server can't access the DB (" Unable to get a
new db connection ") and it could be a few reasons:

1) ensure MySQL is listening on port 3306
2) ensure you have granted the proper permissions (grant all on cloud.*
same for cloud_usage.*...to ) - the credentials you specified while
running setup-cloudstack-databases
3) no other reasons I can see, based on the error message.

best,

Hi Pradeep,

Can you share some more details.

Is the path mentioned correctly for DATATDISK in the volumes table, and Are you
able to locate the disk “4b1e297907f14fbaad3b7a5e57ff8793.vmdk” (in 'fcd' or VM
folder) from the file system? Is the primary storage shared or local.

Hi Pradeep,

If the disk is in fcd folder means that the data disk would have already
detached. Please check whether the volumes paths and storage pool IDs in
CloudStack database are in sync with the location at vCenter.

Hi Pradeep,

If the disk is in fcd folder means that the data disk would have already
detached. Please check whether the volumes paths and storage pool IDs in
CloudStack database are in sync with the location at vCenter.

Harikrishna

Hi Suresh,

the DATADISK is located in fcd folder, and it is the shared iscsi primary
volume.

Suresh

Hi,

I’m using 4.16.0.0 installed on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I was adding a NFS storage
