Re: VM Data and root VHD missing after storage migration

2017-03-16 Thread Prakash Sharma
I faintly remember that XS 6.2 had a bug where if the destination SR is
full, volume migration used to fail and that used to keep volume in very
vulnerable situation, where garbage collector will kick in and remove those
volumes.

You can go through SM.log in xenserver and verify what might have happened.

 ISSUE:

After restart cloud-management service systemvm and guestvm are
inaccessible in basic zone network offering with sg.

 Regards,

Security groups rules behaviour will not change if management
 server/host/vms is restarted.

By default only guest vm ingress traffic is blocked. You need to open up
ingress rules to access user vms.

Check what type of traffic your are sending and which iptables rules are
 blocking it.

Hi,

In basic zone one public ip is assigned to vm already. we need another ip

We have multiple ip address mic feature in cloudstack 4.1
In UI go Instances - vm name - Nics - view secondary ups - Acquire
 new secondary ips
Cloudstack reverse the ip address to nic. Take that ip and configure on
 the VM

We don't have option to configure via router dhcp.

I've been playing with a method of simulating provisioning activity on
 a
CloudStack cloud, and visualizing the resulting capacity usage on the
  hosts.

I blogged about the first (very early) work here:

Re: Network Problems from within SSVM

2013-04-30 Thread prakash
Hi,

I have implemented new cloudstack build dated on april 23. I receive
same error.

There is no secondary storage VM for secondary storage host

 any fix?

Regards,
Prakash.M

 Hi List,

we are trying to setup a Cloudstack configuration, and have it working to
the point that the SSVM is starting up and running.
The problem is, that from within the SSVM one cannot ping the management
server. Which is the reason, we think,
that we are getting log entries in the management server log saying:

There is no secondary storage VM for secondary storage host
 nfs://192.168.122.130/export/secondary

Following some information about our configuration:

 /etc/network/interfaces on SSVM:
 auto lo eth0 eth1 eth2
 iface lo inet loopback

 iface eth0 inet static
   address 169.254.2.31
   netmask 255.255.0.0
