templates not getting downloaded

Hello cloudstackers,

My templates are not getting downloaded.

Getting the following error

what are the sequence of commands need to be used for mounting the nfs.
tried mounting manually getting error.

I agree with him, it wastes time, but at the same time you are gaining
knowledge.

If the documentation was done, he would not have faced this many problems.

Single node setup:
You never told why on restart/shutdown, you loose your secondary
storage(NFS). - May be we need to disable swap. Still I dont know the
answer.

Multi-node setup
Why I cant view my instance. Everything was installed properly, I connected
to management server, logged in, Ubuntu instance was successfully setup,
but I was unable to view it. It showed an error, I forgot the error. why?

Devloper cloudstack
Problems with devcloud in devlopment environment.
devcloud2 never works - then why you mention in your books, links and docs,
why dont you refer to devcloud4 in which many changes are done daily.
Sometimes user gets broken devcloud4, and they get freaked out.

Its not as simple as Vagrant up and vagrant halt.

Sorry I learnt a lot, but we should agree with him, as a starter it took 9
months still the job is unfinished. Stopped it, because I freaked out, and
I am taking rest, will be back soon.

Dont think it is waste of time speaking, many people are not speaking
because, they are thinking, in future they may not get the answers for
their queries.

Cloudstack we love it, but we dont know how to work with it, we are
learining, and we will be masters soon.

Many people help us here on this group. That is the biggest achievement of
these group, but you dont reveal the real recipe because you may loose
bussiness.

This are my views and I dont mean to hurt anyone in anyway.

how to bring ssvm up in developer installation

If I remove the stale entries, do I need to remove the files which are
physically present on my secondary storage under tmpl/1/2 folder also. If
yes, How to identify those files which are physically present to remove it.

Problem in running marvin

I am trying to run the following command

Default Centos Template installing template/Downloaded/null

Dear cloudstackers,

After installing cloudstack 4.4 on centos 6.5,  status of Default
centos  whenever
a  refresh button is pressed shows downloaded, downloading, installing
template sometimes empty. Why these happens?

If we think default centos template got downloaded.

I Registered new iso - downloaded ubuntu iso, then created an instance.
Instance gets created, virtual router started.

when I try to  open the console, it shows connection refused. Unable to
open any of the (centos,system vm,ubuntu) consoles from remote machines.
From Local machine(mangement server) didnt tried as centos got installed in
non-gui mode.

How to solve these problem?

I am trying these from remote host on the local network.

Please reply as soon as possible.

My network doesnt start
I changed the IP to 10.4.29.16 and hardware address.
why?
I request anyone to send the hypervisor host ip settings to bring back
the host in a working state?

If I need to create eth0.100/200/300 How can I create these VLANS. the doc
of cloudstack doesnt brings the network up.

Can you tell me exactly what exactly that doc is trying to do with network
settings.
from eth0 -?
These 3 are VLANS
from eth0.100 -  ip
from eth0.200 - cloudbr0
from eth0.300 - cloudbr1

Any of the links like previous will help me much.

Previously I used to have cloudstack, it was running properly, created the
instances successfully also.  I destroyed the prevoius installation of
cloudstack.  not removed any of the files of previous
cloudstack(/export/secondary, /export/primary) . I just wiped the database
drop database cloud;  and again created the database and
installed/downloaded isos everything properly.

Everything is coming up except my virtual router. is these causing problem?
Any idea how to solve these ?

you are right rajesh my primary storage is not coming up now.
I dont know how to fix it now. I used certain set of mount commands to
mount secondary and primary. If I mount primary first secondary doesnt
comes up, and vice versa also. as secondary is keeping all the zones pods
and clusters hosts templates work properly I am mounting secondary first
and primary next. Any commands how to bring primary up in ubuntu, to bring
back my cloudstack in running stage.

How to delete iso

Dear All,

I want to delete one of my iso in which I have wrongly specified the path.
If I delete from User Interface it throws an error, If I remove the row
from my database, will the iso get deleted or do I need to do anything
more. like shutdown, management server then delete etc. I dont want to
distrub any other configurations.

Why do I get the following error in Register ISO Unable to resolve
releases.ubuntu.com how to solve these.

My settings
secstorage.allowedinternal sites is set to 10.4.6.17
system.vm.use.localstorage is set to true

Previously I was able to upload, am I missing any iptable configuration or
???
Which log file to refer for errors?

Everything is working fine now --- help me to solve these last error.

Thanks Nux My template download started. I just added one of the DNS server
IP in my ssvm and it started
cat /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 103.XX.XX.XX

Health check I run it  successfully without any errors.

 It looks like there is a DNS resolution problem. Try to log in via SSH on
 to your secondary storage VM and see if you can ping/access

Thanks for the help, My template got downloaded successfully today. It took
5hours near by.
I destroyed the secondary storage in user interface, I had given name in
place of ip address of nfs,

two settings I have done to successfully install template .
1. In global settings
sec.storage.allow.internalsites 10.4.6.17
system.vm.use.local.storage=true
2. Destroyed secondary storage and installed secondary storage. in
infrastructure.

Dear Rajesh,

Can you tell how to destroy SSvm, I have studied only installation docs and
tried to install cloud stack, I have not  seen anywhere in the apache
cloudstack doc how to destroy ssvm.

Today morning when I came my cloudstack centos templates shows 18%
downloaded and my secstorage is full.

Does any one knows it?

Please find the attached screenshot which shows the following error? Time
out

I thought my installation went wrong, then I re-installed still finding the
same problem.

I am trying these installation on my Desktop - Ubuntu 12.04.

Dear All,

In cloudstack 4.2 the default template of centos doesn't gets loaded why?
Does any one knows it?

In template section Default centos template shows the following error? Time
out waiting for response from storage host

I thought my installation went wrong, then I re-installed still finding the
same problem.

I am trying these installation on my Desktop - Ubuntu 12.04 everything on
one single machine.

I cant locate my ssvm_check.sh script. and

I have the systemvm folder in the above path

then having in these path. /usr/local/cloud/systemvm/ssvm-check.sh

Empty set (0.00 sec) -- I  think this is error - how to solve these any
help.

Network problem cant start eth0 and eth1

Dear All,
I have changed the interfaces file on ubuntu and getting  the following
error
How to solve it any idea
I cant connect to my management server now?

When I tried to check the status of management server I am getting the
following information

root@CLOUDSTACK:/home/cloudstack# service cloudstack-management status
 * CloudStack-specific Tomcat servlet engine is not running.

Now I cant configure eth0, eth1 interfaces also with DHCP I am getting eth2
interface up and running. If I delete
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules file will it solve my problem.

HI rajesh,
This is the output I have, I dont have s-1-VM, I have s-3-VM running, zone
is enabled

root@managementserver:/home/cloudstack# virsh list --all
 Id Name State

  1 v-2-VM   running
  2 s-3-VM   running


I think I have done the following mistake, while installing the first zone,
I skipped all the steps and went to advanced setup, and added a pod,
cluster, network, primary,secondary storage, hosts, didnt add any virtual
routers, as I dont know how to add routers.

Under a  particular zone I dont have a pod or a cluster, storage etc. In
the screenshot you can`t see  pod or cluster.

I have also installed Xenserver Template before installing KVM template.
in my templates -ISO xsetools.iso, status of these iso is empty Ready =
Yes


I need to delete all the zones how can I do it, your help is very much
appreciated or any other method to attach  pod and cluster and make centos
template running.

Check Centos template Status is Showing Download complete, unless you
make your templates
i.e
KVM template
CentOs Template

Status of both the templates should show Download complete
and Ready as YEs

After that you can register any new ISO from your management server

My interface file looks like these in ubuntu
In bridge port cloudbr0 do I need to change anything
I can login into cloudstack with the following settings, I am getting the
following error while checking for Centos template time out error
Timeout waiting for response from storage host

I was thinking I went wrong with NFS server setup in ubuntu

how to install cloudstack 4.2.0 on ubuntu 12.04

Dear All,

Please can you tell how to install cloudstack 4.2 on ubuntu.
in simple steps, or can you refer any documentation which will help me to
deploy the full setup on one single node itself.

I have followed apache documentation, was able to finish upto management
server installation(Running properly),

But I was unable to install an hypervisor.  Installed virtual box dont know
how to go further.

Unable to create zones, instances etc. I didnt have the setup of
hypervisor.

ERROR: adding host error.

NFS server setup on management server

In which File do I need to set the following parameters in Ubuntu for
cloudstack NFS server installation

I have installed NFS using the below command

apt-get install nfs-kernel-server


   1.

mkdir -p /export/primary
mkdir -p /export/secondary

   2.  vi /etc/exports

   /export  *(rw,async,no_root_squash,no_subtree_check)

   3.

   exportfs -a


where do I need to insert the below code I am not under standing any
