Those packages do not contain the non-oss components (like VMware support).
You should build your own packages.

Hi,

I have upgraded from CS 3.0.2 -> to 4.1.
The only thing I did was yum update cloud-* and it works with vmware off the
shelf.
Would that be because 3.0.2 had the vmware libs back then and the new packages
getting installed are not removing them I can't tell.
It just works with 5.1 for me by default.
I have always used only vmware with CS from the beginning.

Should I worry/update those vmware libraries on the updated CS 4.1?

Regards

No - the RPMs in Widos repo are built with VMware and other non-ASL
compatible bits compiled in.

Hi

Sorry, we are confused

DEB packages don't contain non-oss components?

and RPM packages for RHEL contain non-oss components?

thanks

I don't know about the DEB packages, as I didn't build them.
I can speak authoritatively about the RPM packages as I did build them.

I did, and Wido is the owner of the server that hosts the repos. He
preferred the DEBs to be OSS only. That's what I build and posted.
