Hi, You should replace realhostip.com with your server's fqdn hostname in the Settings. IP address might work, too, AFAIK. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! Nux! www.nux.ro
Re: realhostip.com timeouts
Thanks Nux!. I've changed the consoleproxy.url.domain value to the FQDN of the MGMT server and restarted the management service. Opening a console though is still resulting in an error resolving the host on realhostip.com. Firefox can't find the server at SRV_PUB_ADDRESS.realhostip.com. Any thoughts? RE: realhostip.com timeouts
If you change the FQDN the your mgmt. servers hostname - you have to make sure that you run your own DNS Service to resolve the PUBLIC IP Adresses... That should help: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX133468 -Original Message- From: ronald higgins [mailto:ronald.higg...@gmail.com] Sent: Montag, 6. Re: realhostip.com timeouts
Nope. Cannot resolve from my network or from online dns lookup tools like http://ping.eu/nslookup/ (connection timed out; no servers could be reached) So thought i'd ping the list to see if i'm alone with this issue. This is the answer I got when I raised the same issue some months ago: "realhostip.com is the default domain used when you launch a console proxy session. It's required as there is a wildcard SSL certificate on the system used to secure the connection. You can replace it with your own certificate and domain name combination if you wish. RE: realhostip.com timeouts
yep yep. looks like it's up. It's actually opened my eyes to a risk that I hadn't even considered before (that being being the impact when realhostip is down) so many thanks to everyone for posting links to setting up my own DynDNS service). rH On 6 May 2013 17:51, "Geralyn Miller" wrote: > ALU and Amazon, no.
