Just 2c worth of thought from the side. I am not sure I understand your problem
as a whole... but can you not have a pipeline with an aggregation step in it;
one part of the aggregate is the static file below, and the other is a pointer
to
the pipeline that generates the dynamic data. You can then run the aggregated
xml through a normal transform to get your result... "looking up" the dynamic
section and adding it in to the element (basic XSL).

Just an idea.

Re: CForms: HTMLArea Documentation

2006-02-20 Thread Derek Hohls
Is this something that needs to be taken up on the dev list?
I am sure that htmlArea was the best choice at the time
that the CForms package was first put together, but some
technology just does not last [unlike Cocoon, of course!]
and continued reliance on (or seeming support for) a module
that is no longer actively maintained is not to Cocoon's
advantage...

Can we ask to have Xinha as the "new" editor; or at least
modify the samples so as to show how either can be used;
thereby giving users a choice of "plug-and-play" functionality?
(see also: http://xinha.python-hosting.com/wiki/Compatability )

Xinha does not appear to have extensive documentation (but,
hey, as members of the Cocoon project we can't shout that
loudly ;-)

Xinha functions: http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=137
(seem to reference HTMLarea functions... maybe will help?)

Have a look at http://xinha.python-hosting.com/

Xinha virtually offers the same functionality AND is being maintained. I
have not tried to add or remove toolbar menues, but I suppose the
information on how to do this is available.

Hi Vijay,
this usually happens when the script exits the function without calling
a sendPage or a redirectTo. In this case cocoon does not know what to
send to the user.

I'm new to cocoon (and XSL-transformatons), so please excuse my beginner's
question:

I have a rowset from a sql-query:

http://apache.org/cocoon/SQL/2.0";>

http://apache.org/cocoon/SQL/2.0";>

50132
Amt fuer Bla
25464 Rellingen

50133

and I'm trying to convert this into a simple html-table:

Add xmlns:sql="http://apache.org/cocoon/SQL/2.0"; to element
xsl:stylesheet above.

xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform";>

http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml";>

rs-test

and now you should use

instead

HTH

This only works, when I delete the xmlns="http://apache.org/cocoon/SQL/2.0";
at the beginning of the rowset. In real-life I cannot delete this, because the
sql-transformer builds the rowset in my pipeline.

Which template will match the rowset with the namespace-attribute?

Martin

performance, memory usage and ease of use.

Sounds great... Is there a way to use this in Cocoon? Or is it

Maybe it could be used for writing generators/serializers?

i18n Resource Loading - missing parameters

2006-02-20 Thread Rob Gregory

Hello All,

I’m trying to reuse the i18n logic within Cocoon 2.1.7
so I can provide i18n translations from within our own core java classes. I have
managed to get this working by implementing SourceResolver, Source, Logger
& ServiceManager and the plain translations are working fine.

The problem I have is when trying to deal with parameter
replacements i.e. “the following {0} will {1} be replaced” where
{0} & {1} are dynamically replaced during translation. The resource bundle
is not returning the original text from the translation file and is removing
the {0} & {1} parts – i.e. the bundles hashmap contains “the
following will be replaced”? I suspect this is because cocoon deals with
SaxParams and I need to replace these parts myself (unless I can work out how
to let cocoon classes do this).

The question is if it’s possible to stop cocoon
removing these markers {} or to at least know at which index they where
removed?

Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated.

Thank in advance

Rob

Re: Problem with upload widget

2006-02-20 Thread Simone Gianni

Hi Andrew,
yes, there is a max file size, and you can change it with the
upload-max-size parameter in the web.xml file. By default it is
commented out in the web.xml, and defaults to 10 megabytes, so i think
this is the problem you have while uploading file near 10 megs. If you
need larger uploads you can decomment it and place your maximum file
size (in bytes) in the param-value.

Hope this helps,
Simone

Hello,

I have been having problems getting the upload widget to upload files larger than a certain size in cocoon 2.1.8.

e.g. a file of circa 100kb was ok but not one of 998kb. Is there a max file size? Sometimes having issues with pdf/zip files although the

mime-types have been set in the definition file.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

CForms: Redirecting when in AJAX

2006-02-20 Thread Stewart, Gary
Hello,

I've been using the CForms AJAX stuff for a short while and I've found it very
useful. However I currently run the AJAX forms in an authenticated pipeline. If
the session has timed out the pipeline will redirect to the login page. However
if a form is open and the session is invalid it will come through as an AJAX
request and take the response as an AJAX reply. Is there a way of redirecting
rather than showing the debug message?

Thanks,

Gary
