Hello Barbara, My pure guess: the problem might be with different Dojo version. Did you check that there is exactly the same Dojo Toolkit between 2.1.11 and 2.1.12 ? When this is not the case, the next possible cause of error might be generating unnecessary <?xml ... version=...> header within your XML data (in Ajax request?)
