How to install nvidia graphics driver on dfly?
How to install nvidia graphics driver on dfly? I have tried to do as it says in the README, and this is waht i got when i tried make install. bash-3.2# cd NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-100.14.11 bash-3.2# make install ===> src @ -> /sys machine_base -> /sys/platform/pc32 machine -> /sys/platform/pc32/include cpu_base -> /sys/cpu/i386 cpu -> /sys/cpu/i386/include awk -f @/tools/makeobjops.awk -- -h @/kern/device_if.m awk -f @/tools/makeobjops.awk -- -h @/kern/bus_if.m awk -f @/tools/makeobjops.awk -- -h @/bus/pci/pci_if.m make: don't know how to make vnode_if.h. I personally cannot wait for there to be a good open-source driver for AMD cards, now that the specs are open, hopefully Xorg will have a 3D driver for some of the higher performance models within a year. Then Im buying an AMD card, and dumping nvidia. my perfectly good 6600GT has been sitting almost unused in my box for the last 2 years since I started using DragonFly, except in Windows when I play games. Not that there are many games for *nix but CF would be quite nice. Petr
