Walt,

I don't have installed Windows, but I've installed KUbuntu as second OS on
this machine. I've first installed KUbuntu at and then DragonFlyBSD. I
haven't seen any problem on KUbuntu after deactivating AHCI in the BIOS.

Just curious if changing that setting affected any other OS's, e.g.
Windows (if you still have it installed).

If the date on the compiled kernel is sometime after 14 Nov I think
it should be able to see your controller. Did Joerg's idea about
the bios setting do you any good?

Yes, that did the trick.

Walt,

I've downloaded my snapshot from here:
http://chlamydia.fs.ei.tum.de/pub/DragonFly/snapshots/i386/LATEST-Devel.iso.bz2

If the AHCI is active in the BIOS, disable it.

Joerg imported that code a week ago, 14 Nov. I assume (dunno) that the
latest snapshot from HEAD should find your controller. Where did you
find the snapshot?
