Walt, I don't have installed Windows, but I've installed KUbuntu as second OS on this machine. I've first installed KUbuntu at and then DragonFlyBSD. I haven't seen any problem on KUbuntu after deactivating AHCI in the BIOS. Thomas

Did Joerg's idea about the bios setting do you any good?
