Also, look at the logs in /var/log/cron and /var/log/maillog. They might tell you what is going on. Max

I am as well reworking my mail setup to postfix - and have found the following most useful: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mail-changingmta.html "original FreeBSD handbook" http://www.dragonflybsd.org/docs/handbook/handbook-mail-changingmta/ our copy (haven't diverged too much) http://www.csua.berkeley.edu/~ranga/notes/freebsd_postfix.html some postfix specific stuff for freebsd - again, hasn't diverged too much http://www.ntecs.de/files/mailserver.pdf (kudos to M. Neumann for an excellent 'large scale mailsetup' using DF doc - good for pkgsrc specifics) Big #3 items for the switch are: - switch mailer.conf - enable / disable appropriate rc.conf services - enable / disable various /etc/periodic.conf jobs related to sendmail maintenance. (personally need to review these to see what's applicable what isn't / write replacements)

That way, a new book that is only up-to-date (relative to old content) evolves.

I did have to run newaliases again. Pierre -- Don't buy a French car in Holland. It may be a citroen.
