Re: [libreoffice-users] Path from where LibreOffice automatically installs extensions?

LibreOffice beta3 automatically installs user extensions when started
for the first time. What paths is it watching?

After reboot LibreOffice ceased to install user extensions whenever the
profile is deleted. Is it possible that after update from beta2 to beta3
LibreOffice copied some files to /tmp folder?

Updating fixed it. I didn't realize that I didn't have the latest
version. Thanks for the help!

On the page, scroll down below the download buttons and you will see
BitTorrent and below that you will see (32-bit .debs or 64-bit .debs).
  You can download from there.

Well, it would have, but I found out two things in the mean time:

 1. Rpm *is* supported on Ubuntu, but it is deprecated in favor of:

 2. Conversion via alien.

So, I installed alien, converted all the rpms to .debs, modified my
installer shell (that installed all the rpms in a working order) to do
the .debs instead, and it seems to work fine except, as I've
 complained about before:

 The desktop integration doesn't work.

Actually, there is no desktop-integration package for Debian systems,
so I just go through Nautilus manually and tweak the settings from OOo
to LO and all is well in the world.

 Thanks.

As noted there are 'deb' packages. There is a 'desktop-integration' package
included , does debian menu's.

I tried all of these and they work for me.
Let's see again how to type them:

Cltr+Shift+u # at this point you see an underlined
'u' character, which means start typing the code.

2113 # you type the codepoint (without
the 'u'). Backspace is OK to fix things.

Spacebar # You press the spacebar to commit the

Hi Simos,

thanks for that, on the gnome-desktop it s not necessary to press space,
so I did not press space!
The way you described it was succesful :-)

and at this point you get ℓ.

Can you give some info about your distribution? Which version of LibO
 you are running?
This feature is a GTK+ feature, which means that it won't work at all
 if you activated IBus.
