Re: [libreoffice-users] Boarders in calc
Hi >What do I need to do for LibO to accept the shortcut keys, please? An alternative is to ignore the LO settings and just use the native operating system special keys. These then apply to ALL apps, not just LO. If you are under Linux they are called the "Compose" sequences: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compose_key http://fsymbols.com/keyboard/linux/compose/ You specify a keyboard key to be your "compose" key (generally called the "Multi_key") (e.g., RightWin) and then press the sequences to get the desired character. e.g., é = The combinations are defined in /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose under openSUSE 11.4, YMMV. Here is an example of the definition: : "é" U00E9 # LATIN SMALL LETTER E WITH ACUTE Defining the Multi_key assignment can be a trick, but under openSUSE 11.4 it is easy: Menu > Configure Desktop > Input Devices > Keyboard > Advanced > Compose key position HTH, cheers, Andy -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Hmmm. I am on: LibreOffice 3.3.1 OOO330m19 (Build:8) tag libreoffice-3.3.1.2 *locate -i registry* shows the tree /usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.3/share/registry as well as a bunch of others, but no user tree and no *registrymodifications.xcu* *anywhere. I also tried *find -iname registrymodifications** just in case, with zero results. No biggie, I now know how to control it (Go to full screen before closing LO), so that is good enough for now. Fwd: Re: [libreoffice-users] Fwd: Saving Window sizing
Make that: The application always opens to the size in which it was when it was last CLOSED. It has nothing to do with actually saving the files. It just reopens to same the size it was when it last closed (full screen or smaller, whichever was in place when the application closed). So what would be nice to have would be to save the window size with the individual file, not the application as a whole. I am under Linux openSUSE 11.4 with KDE 4.6.00. I did some experimenting. The following is reproducible: 1. Open Document A (DocA). Resize it, e.g., Large (but not full screen). 2. Change its content and save it. 3. Close LO completely. 4. Open DocB. It opens to the last saved size of DocA, NOT the size in which it was saved. = a. Now make DocB full screen, change something, save it, closeout LO. b. Open another document, e.g., DocA. Now it opens full screen (the size in which DocB was saved) not the smaller size in which DocA was saved. = OK, now save them as .ods files, not .xls files. Repeat the experiment. NO change. The new file always opens to the size of the last previously saved file, not its own size setting. = What I was hoping to be able to do is have each document save its own sizing. [libreoffice-users] Fwd: Saving Window sizing
Hello. How do I save a window size in LibreOffice (LO)? I try resizing and saving the document and closing and restarting LO, but when I open the document it has reverted to the original small size. I then tried creating a new document, saving it as a template, making it the default template, but still no joy, the window opens in the original small size.
