Re: [bug] Re: [libreoffice-users] LibreOffice 7.3.3.2 Windows 64 bit seems not detect AdoptOpenJdk JRE Windows 64 bit runtime

2022-05-25 Thread Carlo Strata (tiscali.it)

Hi Everyone,

I confirm that LibreOffice Win64 7.3.4.1 (downloaded from pre-release
directory) correctly detect
ibm-semeru-open-jre_x64_windows_11.0.15_10_openj9-0.32.0.msi.

Thank you. I'm going to write it in the gerrit bug.

Have all a nice evening,

Carlo

Looks broken indeed.  Please file a bug, put me on CC, and leave the
bug ID here.

Re: [libreoffice-users] Agenda 2030 SDGs logos and posters file formats

2022-05-12 Thread Carlo Strata (tiscali.it)
These are some examples to download the eps files (the italian ones are
that I test):

https://unric.org/it/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2019/11/icone-sdg.zip

Once you have unzipped the file you have to navigate in the

icone-sdg/SDG_icons_IT/SDG_Icons_eps

directory.

(the Official Italian Agenda 2030 home page from which I download the
infographics is:

https://unric.org/it/agenda-2030/)

Thank you very much,

Carlo

I was looking with my School Students the UN's Agenda 2030 and we are

We massive use LibreOffice, Inkscape, Gimp, Scribus, Krita, MyPaint,
Shotcut/OpenShot, Meshroom CL (open source photogrammetry software),
Meshlab and Blender with my Students.

In the programming courses we also use and write code in: C/C++, PHP
(HTML/CSS/Javascript) and Python.

The Agenda 2030 logos are delivered from the UN site above in:

a) vector format --> EPS

b) bitmap format --> JPEG (425 x 425 pixels, 70 kbyte average file
size)

What's the question?

The question are two:

1) in total and full coherence with Agenda 2030 values themselves (at
least 1, 4, 8, 10 and 17), format have to be open (I mean SVG and
PNG)! Could you help us to ask UN for that? May be useful to open a
petition on change.org or similar site as well as to directly write
to UN itself? We are doing that in next days...

2) LibreOffice (7.3.3.2 both Windows and Linux versions) doesn't
correctly opens that EPS images, it shows only an image placeholder
in which it writes that the file are built from Adobe Illustrator(R)
22.0... (UN: :-( ); I simply open them with Inkscape and save them in
SVG format (and to a 3445 x 3445 pixels PNG file only 4 times file
size larger than 64 times pixels smaller JPEG). The results seem
perfect! Are LibreOffice EPS import filter improvable or bug affected?

What do you think about these troubles?

I think it would be helpful if you posted the URLs of the actual
downloads that cause trouble.

Have a sunny day,

Carlo

[libreoffice-users] LibreOffice 7.3.3.2 Windows 64 bit seems not detect AdoptOpenJdk JRE Windows 64 bit runtime

2022-05-02 Thread Carlo Strata (tiscali.it)

Hi Everyone,

there are some years that I didn't write to you, but I never stop use
and promote LO! ;-)

Just a little question before the near release of LibreOffice 7.3.3.2.

In Windows environment I used to install the pre-release stable version.

I'm not sure (!) because I have tried only a few times in the Italian
School in which I teach, but both the next 7.3.3.1 and .2 Windows 64 bit
builds seem not detect AdoptOpenJdk JRE Windows 64 bit runtime (I used
the ibm-semeru-open-jre_x64_windows_11.0.15_10_openj9-0.32.0.msi).

The 7.3.2.2 seems to detect it correctly, instead.

So, with respect to the release plan time, I prefer asking you if
someone has the same my doubt/suspect (I haven't found some open bugs
about it yet).

Have all a nice evening and make (open) code not war!

Carlo

2017-08-02 Thread Carlo Strata, tiscali.it
Ho Everyone,

I just install LibreOffice 5.3.5.2 win64 - from the usual prerelases directory
- with the associated italian help pack and I see that the note icons in the
help pages are all broken.

I don't know if it is a problem of all platform.

What do you think about?

Have a nice afternoon,

Carlo
