2 questions coming to my mind:

1) What's happening with a more recent version of LibreOffice?
2) If the settings are present in the user profile, maybe the latter is
superseding the ones from GPOs (this shouldn't be the case since GPO, by
definition, are taking precedence in all cases, but I'm just asking just
in case).

If the problem persists and you would like to get professional support,
I would encourage you to ask Collabora directly since they are the
authors of this GPO file :)

Ps.: Sorry for the delay, I'm still behind schedule in my mails xD

Are you iplaw67 on Twitter ? :)

If yes, I'm the person behind LibreOfficeFR :) Hope to see the bugs you
mentioned to me to be fixed ASAP :) I'll commit to it in the weeks to
come if not done at that time.

In all cases, these have been reescalated to ESC (as soon my mail
becomes whitelisted). I meant *re*escalated because they have been the
center of topic for some weeks and then faded away from the main topics
:( Will keep you posted of progress being made :)

I know this topic is quite old :) But I'm still interested about the
answer (especially abut the supported Java version) :)

And wrt. the statement about the upgrade process, I checked and the
6.2.8 might not have been pushed at that time via the update checker
service. My bad :/

Any reason, not to use the Ubuntu PPA (they are working on Mint, but
your miealage may vary)?

I know the PPA is not an officially supported method, but this will
avoid you the hassle to instead each updates manually. :)

The 6.1.x is not maintained any more now. :/

Here is the request that is crafted from a 6.1.5.2 on macOS:

Hi *

I ever had such an issue on GNU/Linux and it was related to a font
cache problem. As OS X is using the equivalent behavior; I would
recommend you to clear your font cache and see if this solves the
problem. On OS X, first close all opened applications, launch a
terminal, and type:

sudo atsutil databases -remove

this will ask for your password, then reboot your computer. The next
reboot might take a bit longer since the cache of all fonts will be
recreated.

Actually, it has been announced at FOSDEM 2013 (I've participated in

this subject, excepted the Youtube video I mentioned of course.

Actually, the first edition was on the 14st June, the 2nd on 21. I had

I'll look for a way to have the publication date in the title

What is great is that the wiki used by the Document Foundation is

Do you know if LibreOffice could use this picture for the LOWN report [1]?
Either an authorization or a license as CC-BY, Public Domain, LGPLv3
or MPLv2 could be great.

First of all congratulations!

As the mailing list and the nabble platform are both trimming of
attachments, could you upload the aforementioned pictures on a
dedicated storage location?

In that way I could integrate some of them in my LOWN report [1] that
should have been released a few days ago already.

Yet another question for my report, who was the guy/organization who
initiated such a training? Your report seems unclear about this
subject: you, the Lao Open Source club, the ASEAN ICT or the school
headmasters themselves? "We are conducting" doesn't indeed mean you
were the initiator.

Thanks.

The 4.1 is the mature branch version typically for enterprises, while
the 4.2 branch is for standard users. You should definitely choose
this one (4.2).

Also, Pikov, please answer to the list next time and not to me
directly. Otherwise, others cannot see the question you asked me.

@others

Please stop promoting non FOSS alternatives while LibreOffice will
suit this use case perfectly. Above all, like you said, the PowerPoint
viewer is non portable, which can cause issues if the user hasn't the
right to install any software on the machine. For students, using
LibreOffice on school computers (which often have install
restrictions) is the best solution.

Do you have some link about it (for LibreOffice Weekly News)? I cannot

This couldn't work, because the plugin will need to call LibreOffice
itself to render the document.

The plugin will just be an interface (bridge) between DEVONThink and
LibreOffice.

Since LibreOffice doesn't run on the iPad (yet), this goal isn't
reachable for now. But in a near future [1] maybe ;-)

Although, having a plugin for OS X should be achievable.

I invite you to read this excellent article [1], I tweeted about a few

use to apply security updates to a kernel without reloading it.
