[libreoffice-users] Re: Automatic sizing of documents in single window

2013-07-27 Thread jumper46
Tom,

I have delayed replying in order to install LO4.1 (was using 4.0.3), hoping
the sizing issue was not solved by this update. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

The "Cascade" command to which you refer is not in any version of Windows
(I'm using Win7, soon to be LinuxMint 15). Rather, it and the "Tile"
command and the "Compare Side by Side" command, are in MS Office under the
Window entry on the Toolbar. It is MS Office that I am trying to eliminate.
But the inability to look at two or more documents simultaneously (as I
could do with sheets of paper) is hampering that move. I had hoped that LO
had buried the commands somewhere that I, as a newbie, had not yet found.
I'm still looking and open to any suggestions.

Regards,
Jumper

[libreoffice-users] Automatic sizing of documents in single window

2013-07-22 Thread jumper46
Is there a function to automatically size several documents (as they are
brought into focus) into a single display window? In Windows, one is adding
panes to the window. I wish to eliminate having to resize every document
each time I add or remove another in the display.

[libreoffice-users] Random listing of documents in window menu

2013-05-25 Thread jumper46
Documents opened in LO are randomly listed in the window menu drop-down list.
Since I use a great number of different documents, this randomness makes it
difficult to find the correct document and is prone to error. Is there, or
are there, options for listing these alphabetically? BTW, each document is
selected alphabetically when opened from the disc.Jumper46
