Re: [libreoffice-users] LibO 5.1.1.1: Spell Check not recognising plurals
I live in Canada, but I set up LibreOffice to use Spanish dictionary as the default language for all documents. The only setting I changed was : 'Tools > Options > Language Settings > Languages > Default Languages for documents : Spanish' The rest of the settings I left as-is. I am new to LibreOffice and my experience might be unique to me. Please consider the possibility that you might have a buggy download or that a glitch might have occurred at the time of the installation. I truly hope that I was able to help you. (As a test you might consider changing the config to en_GB to see if the same problem appears with plurals.) The other, less likely issue may be with the locale setting. (I say less likely because my system and UI are set to es_ES, and I have not seen the problems with English plurals in documents.) I just installed a Linux system for someone here Spain and the Spanish translations were spotty because the system locale was incorrectly set at first. Can the UI locale be set to ZA? And why is en_GB indicated in parens after your locale setting? Is there no specific en_ZA.UTF-8 setting? Hope there are other NZ users who can help more.
