Re: [libreoffice-users] Libre Office Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff)

2012-12-22 Thread Hank Alper
Hi Chris,
I'm using the same version of Libre Office as you are, on a windows 7
Professional system.. I have run databases on this version of Base which
were developed on previous versions and even some developed on Open Office.
I do not not have the same problem as you. However, If I close the
operating system without closing Base and LO properly, Windows won't shut
down unless I save or discard the changes. This is complicated because I
run a text editor at the same time as LO. Same thing happens if I have not
saved or shut down the editor properly.. When running Base I am extra
careful to shut each mode and save it using the File drop down menu. I look
for the little green triangle indicating "Save". When closing Base I do the
same thing. I do not use the the little X in the corner. This makes sure I
haven't forgotten to save my work. Perhaps this is the cause of your
problem.

2012-12-20 Thread Chris Heath

Thanks for the reply, Tom.

Yes, I have tried all of those and, if I have a database loaded, nothing
happens and the only way I can close Libre is to use Windows Task
Manager. I have now tested both Writer and Calc with existing files and
they both close normally whichever route I use.

For information, the database I am using was only created in the
previous version of Libre.

I wonder if anyone else can reproduce this fault?

Hi :)
I take it you have tried all the different ways, such as
File - Close
File - Exit
and the red cross in the corner. They should all work but if one
isn't the others might help someone identify what is going wrong.

Tom :)
