Dave I found a "disappointing" solution, by uninstalling 7.6.4.1 and installing 7.5.9.2so now opening Hybrid PDFfiles in Writer works perfectly, even with my original profile. Not that I have any problem using 7.5.9.2, but I would like to find out why the issue only occurs on this one machine and not 2 other Win 10 machines I have tested. For a many years I have made use of the facility to export Writer (ODT) files as Hybrid PDF (embed ODF files) and later reopen them in Writer for editing. I have tried numerous options, including a new profile, but the Hybrid PDF always opens in Draw. Any thoughts or pointers about how to recover this facility would be welcome.
