Re: [libreoffice-users] Opening .cwk file question

2017-10-11 Thread jorge Rodríguez

Hi Dennis and all:

I suggest you to open the old Mac works file with LibreOffice and
save then the spreadsheet as Calc format (.ods) and look if this new
spreadsheet keeps show more columns than an usual Calc spreadsheet.
Remember that all Calc spreadsheets has a 1024 columns (At least in my
version of LibreOffice 4.2.8.2 Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Newer versions of
LibreOffice would have more or less quantity of columns, someone would
confirm this issue)

Regards,

Jorge Rodríguez

How do I get Calc to just open the old files without adding empty columns
and/or rows?

Also, is there a way to limit NEW Calc documents to say, 1 sheet of 10
columns and 100 rows then allow me to delete/add as needed?

Attached is an example of hiding rows and columns.

The list strips attachments, but the example should reach you as you are
addressed separately.

The number of rows and columns is fixed by calc. Deleting rows and/or
columns get replaced to maintain the fixed rows and columns.

You can however hide rows and columns. Then it looks like they do not exist.
