Re: [libreoffice-users] Re: new article - with quote from TDF steering committee member Italo Vignoli
Ahh, that explains how the writer got the wrong impression. I thought it was people in higher-up positions such as Head of Marketting type of positions but by then Oracle seemed to be doing quite a lot of strange things to try to kill their product and any of the goodwill that might have built-up over the years. It took Oracle ages to react to the TDF founders splitting off though. When you quit the development of OOo on your own accord, does not mean you got booted out. Something is wrong with his statement. No wonder he could not get someone to go on the record about that statement. -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to users+h...@libreoffice.org In case of problems unsubscribing, write to postmas...@documentfoundation.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/www/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

In a way Oracle did push the first few people out by their lack of communication about plans for the future and by refusing to allow bug-patches and stuff to be added by failing to give anyone any confidence in the longer-term prospects.
