Hi :)
NickKolok, you are not fully subscribed to this list yet.  The moderators had
to accept your post to the list.  Try looking in your Spam/Junk folder to see
if the confirmation email got stuck in there.  You need to reply to the
confirmation email in order to complete the subscription process
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

[libreoffice-users] Ping Fridrich Strba - re Visio Filters

2013-01-09 Thread NoOp
Fridric, your Visio filters in LO 4.0dev rock! Thanks thanks to all
that assisted!

I just fired up LO 4.0dev (linux)
Version 4.0.0.0.beta2 (Build ID: 4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0
and opened up a Visio 4 file:

$ file TWhse2.vsd
TWhse2.vsd: Composite Document File V2 Document, Little Endian, Os:
Windows, Version 4.0, Code page: 1252, Author: snip, Template:
C:\Program Files\Visio\Solutions\Network Diagram\Basic Network.vst,
Title: Network

and it opened nearly perfectly in LO Draw. (Nearly perfectly as some of
the text boxes were shifted over a drawing object, but was easy enough
to drag to a proper location.)

I found that I can copy paste to a Write document intact ungroup in
Write rearrange... how cool is that! Regrouping in Write is a little
like hearding cats, but possible.

Thanks again - Fridrich.

For those that are wondering what the heck I'm talking about, please see:

[libreoffice-users] Ping Andrew Douglas Pitonyak - password macro

2011-08-08 Thread NoOp
Andrew,

In attempting to help Bob Stia in the 'password problem' thread, I came
across this macro:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ooomacros/files/PasswordCracker/Version%201.0/

This works *if* you have the *exact* password in the password file.
Unfortunately it doesn't take regex etc., so it's only useful if the
exact password is in the dictionary/password file. Is there any way to
modify the macro so that it will try variations? Example:

Password is 'test'.
- try 't' and combinations of 't' for length 4.

similar to pdfcrack.

Interesting. I am familiar with the author. He has provided much advice
to the community.

yes

Would probably require some work to write it as you desire. For a one
shot deal, however, it might be just as easy to simply generate a text
file created in a spreadsheet.

Otherwise, you would want to remove the file I/O related commands such as:

Opening the file:
iFile = FreeFile ()
open sDicFile for input as iFile

** Rather than opening a file, you would initialize your test password
with something.

Closing the file:
close #iFile

Reading the file:
Line Input #iFile, sPass

Rather than reading the file, you simply need to automatically
choose the next password based on the current password. At one time, I
wrote a checker that would check based on some assumed characters. I
posted the code on the OOo forum.

[libreoffice-users] Ping Cor - Bug 32948

2011-05-04 Thread NoOp
Can you please test/recheck:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32948
[Bug 32948] Address Book Data Source Wizard Doesn't Work

If not add it to the '[Bug 35673] LibreOffice 3.4 most annoying bugs'
list... rumor has it that bugs won't get fixed for 3.4 unless bugs get
added to this list:
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.documentfoundation.libreoffice.devel/10201
quote
I am afraid that the use rules for the Most Annoying Bugs is not
enough widespread yet, so please let me summarize it:

- To get the proper attention to the real blockers, they _must_ appear
  in the Most Annoying Bugs
  [https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35673]

- The Most Annoying Bugs are meant for really serious bugs only, and not
for my favorite red button should be blue; such bugs will be removed
  from there

If they do not appear there, there is a big probability they'll be
overlooked, even if mentioned on all the mailing lists many times.

[libreoffice-users] Ping Dwayne Barber

2011-04-27 Thread Twayne
Dwayne,

I have no idea why you sent me an e-mail about unsubscribing. As I
understand it, EACH mail you receive had unsub instructions at the bottom of
it. Read those and follow them. But, I have nothing to do with anything to
do with the mail list or nntp group. I am simply a user via gmane.org
newsgroup.
Other than telling you to look at the bottom of previously received
messages for the instructions to unsubscribe, there is nothing else I can do
for you.

Also, please post in Plain Text, not HTML mode. Space requirements for HTML
are magnitudes larger than for Plain Text, and some people won't be able to
read your posts, depending on their news client.
