Re: [libreoffice-users] LibreOffice DOES NOT open .docx files
I have attached a docx file generated with Adobe's ExportPDF service (as well as the PDF from which it was generated). I would love to be able to use that service with LibO, but the docx output just opens as a blank document (to my eyes anyway). Maybe someone can figure out why Adobe's ExportPDF produces a docx that is blank. Thanks. I hope you're well. Graham Graham M. So please upload those two files somewhere on the internet and just post the links to them here. RE: [libreoffice-users] LibreOffice DOES NOT open .docx files
Who knows, it could be a case of false advertisement on the part of Adobe [;). Have you succeeded in opening the file in any of Microsoft Office 2003 (with Compatibility Pack) 2007, 2008, 2010, or 2011? It would be useful to know if the document, when resaved from Microsoft Office, was then readable by LibreOffice. If the document is small enough and not precious to you, I can try some of that if you e-mail it to me. - Dennis -Original Message- From: mazallen [mailto:mazi.al...@gmail.com] Sent: Friday, July 01, 2011 12:25 To: users@global.libreoffice.org Subject: [libreoffice-users] LibreOffice DOES NOT open .docx files When I downloaded LibreOffice 3.3.3 I was led to believe that [LibreOffice] Writer easily reads Microsoft Word documents, and you can also save your work in Microsoft Word format, for sending to people still locked into Microsoft products and that /LibreOffice can also open .docx files created with Microsoft Office 2007 for Windows or Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac OS X/.
