Re: [libreoffice-users] MS Office MacIntosh to Libre Writer Windows
Hi. Check the file that was sent to you from the mac, does it have an extension .doc. Sometimes we receive files from our macs with no extension and just need to rename them with the extension. steve On 2012-11-28 06:47, bsn wrote: Hi everybody I decided last year not to buy a new version of MS Office and to use Libre Office instead. LO opens a small window (ASCII filter options) and converts the doc to a unreadable scribble. I have not found the good coding, if any. Nor have I found a thread about taht point in the archive. And if he saves it to another format, docx for instance, into windows and then send it to me, in that case I can read read it without problem. -- View this message in context: http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/MS-Office-MacIntosh-to-Libre-Writer-Windows-tp4021060.html Sent from the Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Then you have encountered #53909 (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53909) This is fixed in LO 3.6.4-rc2, which will be released this week. Or you can wait until next week, when 3.6.4 will be officially released (it will be bit-by-bit identical to rc2, so I suggest downloading rc2 when it is ready). Or, if this is matter of life and death, you can downgrade to 3.5.4 (but not 3.5.5 or later). -- Best regards Mirosław Zalewski -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
