My guess is that the user information got corrupted in the LO
configuration by the server. Maybe the file properties might have had
some weird information.

Just  to clarify, this a problem with specific documents and these
documents look for the server when saved in ODT formats. Do you get any
error messages when you use Save with these documents?

You might want to check the paths in TOOLS>>OPTIONS>>Libreoffice>>Paths
to see if there are any that refer to the old server and change those.
