Consumer Lag JMX in 0.9

Hi,
I asked this question a while back but haven't got an answer, so I'm
repeating it now in the hopes that someone can help.

There was a problem with JMX consumer lag in 0.8 which made lag monitoring
unreliable:

Has anything changed in 0.9?
