RE: global-sender problem
Hi The reason for this error occuring is that your global sender is text based. When the global sender is text based the maximum length of the sender is 11 characters and you have 12. If the global sender is numeric the max length is 16 digits. RE: Nokia 6210 as SMSC
1st thanks for answers. 2nd I was dumb enough not to tell you that I'm running LINUX box, Mandrake 8.0. So how is it with Linux? Ilari Yes you can use a number of those Nokia phones as SMSC. In order to do so you'll need a data cable, available from most good mobile accessory vendors. Then, presuming you're operating in windows, you should add the following lines to your kannel.conf file: # SMSC CONNECTIONS group = smsc smsc = at smsc-id = modem modemtype = nokiaphone device = com2 Set device to the relevant port to which your phone is connected. Help with Ringtones....
Title: Help with Ringtones Hi, I am new to kannel, but I find it being a great applications. I am trying to test a function that sends a ring tone to my Nokia Phone, the process is that I would have a website were I can select a ringtone. When selecting a ringtone the system would read a text file and send an sms message with the ringtone. I am looking for help/advise on how to do this, In the latest development releases I found a few sample .PHP files on vcard, sms send and send ota. Is there anyone that has a sample PHP file on how to send a ringtone or a logo. I appreciate any help that I can receive. TZ Torbjorn Zetterlund VP, Mobile Commerce CertaPay Inc.
