wap push notification over SMS, Telcel network
Hello Does anybody else in the community have experienced problems sending wap push notifications over SMS on Telcel network (México)? I'm using test_ppg, bearerbox's log shows the data delivered to modem (I validate the data is ok using: http://twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode), but yet every time the SMS received is empty having no clue about what is wrong I tried with nowsms (trial version) and the SMS received is also empty, which makes me think maybe the operator is not allowing that kind of SMSs, does anyone knows something about it? regards

Hi, I have setup kannel on an ubuntu server, I have tried different modems, Siemens C35i and nokia E50. I have tried various init strings, i have tried setting mms to true and i just can't seem to get below 4,5 - 5 secs per sms. I have tried smscaster for windows wiith same modems and it sends in an sms in 2 secs. Any advice ?

Hi, You should contact your provider. You need wap-enabled SIM card, to get wap-pushes. Can you wap-push from another mobile? Hi, From the logs I see that you get instantaneous delivery. In the same second you get acceptance by the SMSc, and delivery to the destination SIM. You cannot get any faster than that. It looks you are sending the SMS through playsms, every 5. It seems to be an upstream issue, unrelated to kannel. For verification please post also your detailed smsbox logs of the attempt.
