SQLBOX CONFIGURATION
Hii, How to configure SQLBOX in kannel 1.5.0 gateway.
Re: Hide sender number
You can only do that if you use en SMPP connection to your provider. It will not work with modems. USB Hub for USB Modem
Hello, I was willing to use kannel with many USB Modems because i was able to configure kannel for the USB modem. My plan was to increase outgoing SMS speed by using like 5 or 10 USB modems so that i can increase SMS sending rate. I Bought a Belkin USB Hub with external power supply because my computer didn't have many USB ports. I attached 2 USB modems in the USB Hub as test run and ran the bearerbox but kannel was only able to open one SMSC through one modem and it couldn't find the other modem. Then i checked and found that the modem location has changed, i am feeling like the 2nd modem got detached and then attached again in different point. I sometimes faced the similar problem when i tried to use the USB modem in my PC front side USB Ports. One of my friend told me that front USB ports are weak and i saw that durring SMS sending my modem got detached. Does anyone has any idea what is going on, and do anyone have done what i am trying to do. Any suggestion will be great. Thank you
Re: Hide sender number
Agree with the modem (in most cases), but not agree with only SMPP can do this. HTTP can do also, as long as we have the proper privilege from the provider. I do alphanumeric sender via Kannel's hacked HTTP adapter connected to some providers. Re: USB Hub for USB Modem
Kannel supports many GSM Modems, I have 8 USB Modems attached. Usually computer has some USB ports, try them all and check your system log to know on which port are the modems allocated by your system.
