Re: Kannel With RedHat9.0

2003-09-01 Thread Dominik Dahlem
If you don't mind ssl, you can install the kannel source distribution
with :
./configure --disable-ssl
make
make install

Re: Multiple instances of kannel WAP gateway

2003-08-18 Thread Dominik Dahlem
Hi Raj,

I didn't try it yet. However, I'd assume, if you start each instance
with different configuration files it should work. Make sure each
instance uses different ports...

Hope that helps,
Dominik

   Hi!

Should be no problem starting two instances each with its own config
 file.

Hi,

I think it is possible for one machine to run multiple instances of
  kannel
so that it have 2 WAP gateways, but how do I make sure that run
  separately?
Is it simply a matter of installing kannel twice (in different
  locations) or
can I start one installation twice with 2 different config files?

Any help would be appreciated as I am still learning about the
 software.

Thanks,
Raj

I tried this but I got the message that the ports are already in use. How
  do I get around this?

CMS ERROR: 50

2003-08-17 Thread Dominik Dahlem
Hi all,

I installed the gateway version 1.2.1 on RedHat 9 and configured it to
use the Nokia Card Phone 2.0.
As I'm new to kannel, I wanna start with sending a sms via the web
interface. However this doesn't work. I got a CMS ERROR: 50. The card
phone manual states this as an rp layer cause value from network. To
be honest I don't know what this means. There are alreday some users on
this mailing list with the same problem. Unfortunately, I couldn't take
advantage of the comments being posted. Did anyone of you configure
kannel with the nokia card phone and got it working?
I tested the status of the modem itself with AT+CPAS and this appears to
be in a ready state.
As well, there seem to be no problems with kannel recognizing the card
phone.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thx in advance,

Dominik
