Hmm... This is just a guess, but I think the intention of the original
poster is something like this:
Game screen is on National TV Broadcast or some cable TV
channel. Competitors send controls via Java Midlet on mobile
phones to make the character/avatar of the player make a
move/perform action on the game screen.
With that kind of application, TCP/IP over GPRS is needed.
Sounds crazy? That's also what I think about it. ;) Anyway, I've seen an
application like this but instead of using the above setup, people with
DTMF phones dial-in and use the dial-pad to control their
character/avatar on the TV.
