Redhat 9 and Kannel 1.4.0

2005-10-12 Thread zeko mbumwae
I want to run a SMS application on Redhat 9 which I have already installed. The ReadMe states that on Redhat linux Kannel requires such packages as psgml, transfig, libxml etc.I did a locate psgml and libxml which showed the packages are by default in Redhat 9 apart for transfig which couldn't give the results or root of the rpm.My question is:Do I really need  to reinstall all the packages stated in the guide before Kannel can work for me?Is kannel really compatible with Redhat 9. Help me go about this! Where can I find these packages that I the ReadMe says I need.

Gud day(night)!

how to use the % character on get-url

2005-10-22 Thread zeko mbumwae
hi evryone,

i have a problem with the % character.I seem not to know how to use them in the get-url.I have read the manual from kannel and it says something about %k and %s and all those.

i have a php sript that requires that a user sends a number and it then outputs the information of the user with the given number, from the database .the keyword that is being used is info.

have tried something like http://host/getinfo.php?num=%s&submit=submit but its failing and i think i dont know how i can make kannel pick both the keyword and the number, then use  the number to retrieve information .

can someone please help,
thanx
chris.
