Hi I think it is not a kannel issue but your drivers. I had a very similar problem with an USB Enfora GSM modem where the dmesg and /var/log/messages shows that the device was mounted when in reality it wasn´t .. or at least not completely. Have you tried to access it with minicom or wdial?? Regards Alvaro
