There is no error. It goes thru fine. When I restart the LDAP server after
adding it, there is nothing in the audit file. And no entry in the dse.ldif.

 There's not a specific entry for nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled.

nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled is an attribute of cn=config entry.

You should be able to query it by this command:

 ldapsearch -xLLL -D cn=directory manager -W -b cn=config -s base
 nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled
 dn: cn=config
 nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled: on

Does anyone have an idea what this error is referring to?

Are you directly modifying the dse.ldif? If so, you MUST do so while
the server is stopped, otherwise the change is lost. The best way is to
use ldapmodify:

Example:

# ldapmodify -D cn=directory manager -W -p PORT -h HOST
dn: cn=config
changetype: modify
replace: nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled
nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled: on

Enabling the audit log should log the change to enable it, so after
making this update the audit log should not be empty
(/var/log/dirsrv/slapd-INSTANCE/audit).

gnome-terminal select by word characters

2015-06-15 Thread Stephen Berg (Contractor)
After reinstalling with F22 a double click in gnome-terminal is behaving
differently.

Before if I double clicked on an NFS share such as
servername:/export/data the entire string would be selected.

After the reinstall I only get servername or /export/data
highlighted for copying or pasting.

I found a couple of references to changing the list of characters in
Select by word characters but that option does not show up as a
profile option. I further found one piece of advise that it's a hidden
setting in dconf, but when I looked for it in dconf-editor I couldn't
find it.

Is it possible to change the behavior back so that a colon character is
considered part of the word?

Another undesirable effect this is having:

In terminal if I run dnf info gnome-terminal and try double clicking
on the URL line I can highlight http or //www.gnome.org/ but not the
whole URL. But moving the mouse over the URL it does underline the
entire URL and let you right click and Open Link.

From this gnome bug report[1], you can modify that setting using a
command like this, as user:

$ dconf write
/org/gnome/terminal/legacy/profiles:/:${Profile_ID}/word-char-exceptions
'@ms -,.;/?%#_=+@~·:'

I added : at the end of the string.

To get the ${Profile_ID}:
$ gsettings get org.gnome.Terminal.ProfilesList list

Middle mouse button stopped pasting

2015-06-15 Thread Kanwar Ranbir Sandhu
Hi Everyone,

For some reason unbeknownst to me, the middle button on my mouse no
longer pastes texts into terminal windows, emails, or anywhere else it
use to after I highlight text.

Everything else on my mouse appears to work just fine. I haven't applied
any updates. Actually, I decided to update my desktop and rebooted after
this problem appeared.

I'm running Fedora 20. I know, it's getting long in the tooth. I am
actually going to install the latest and greatest soon, but not for
another month or so.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right
direction to get this annoying issue resolved.

Thanks,

wait a little while to get it?

Doesn't the CalcForge community have their own support group/list?

tilem2 for Fedora 22?

2015-06-15 Thread Antonio Olivares
Dear folks,

I like to use tilem2 CalcForge Repository to emulate Ti83/84 calculators. I
install repo and try to install tilem2 and I get:

[root@localhost ~]# dnf install tilem2
Fedora 22 - x86_64 1.8 MB/s | 41 MB 00:23
CalcForge RPMs for Fedora 22 - x86_64 - Non-Fre 9.7 kB/s | 1.4 kB 00:00
CalcForge RPMs for Fedora 22 - x86_64 - Base119 kB/s | 34 kB 00:00
Fedora 22 - x86_64 - Updates1.3 MB/s | 7.6 MB 00:05
Last metadata expiration check performed 0:00:07 ago on Mon Jun 15 16:19:59
2015.
No package tilem2 available.
Error: no package matched: tilem2

Has tilem2 been depracated? or it is in the building process and one can wait
a little while to get it?

Thanks,

Antonio

Re: [389-users] Not able to enable audit logs

2015-06-15 Thread German Parente
Hi Prashant,

it should work in the same way. Are you having an error doing your ldapmodify ?

There's not a specific entry for nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled.

nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled is an attribute of cn=config entry.

You should be able to query it by this command:

ldapsearch -xLLL -D cn=directory manager -W -b cn=config -s base
nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled
dn: cn=config
nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled: on

Regards,

German.

Subject: [389-users] Not able to enable audit logs

 Hi,

I have a setup of master-master replicated 389 DS installations as part of
 FreeIPA.

This is the version of the 389-ds : 389-ds-base-1.3.3.8-1.fc21.x86_64

On 1st server, I was able to enable the audit logs using the following LDIF.

 dn: cn=config
 changetype: modify
 replace: nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled
 nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled: on

However, the same LDIF when I run on the second server (which is the
replicated master) the audit logs never get enabled. I'm not able to find
the nsslapd-auditlog-logging-enabled entry under the dse.ldif . I have tried
 restarting etc but no luck.

 Is this normal ?

 Thanks.
