Suspend working?
Lost the thread on this suspend problem. Tried to find it, so I started anew So far the 4.17.7 kernel is working. I did a lot of suspends as I opened each new app. Then I let things run for 1/2 a day. This latest suspend did that double thing, with the system coming right out of suspend and having to unlock and then suspend. Don't remember that happening other than the first suspend after poweron (which it did). But so far things are working. I will try a suspend tomorrow and see. Normally at home the only time I suspend is friday late afternoon to have everything in the office 'off' until Saturday night. Not like at a conference where I suspend my system a dozen times per day. So I will keep a watch and see. Fun! Assuming all dependencies are declared then dnf should prevent you from removing the gstreamer0 packages if anything needs them and tell you what that is. Alternatively, you can also use rpm's "--test" option which will give you the same info without trying to remove anything: rpm --erase --test ... If you do have a dependency issue then it appears to be the plugins that are causing the conflict with soundtouch v2, so it may be possible to just uninstall the v0.x plugins (specifically "gstreamer-plugins-bad-free") to unblock the soundtouch update. -- Andy The only person to have all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe ___ users mailing list -- users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/JX4GCVRP765ONB7WOAKF4A6KKC7ZPM7C/

F28 Workstation fresh installation on HP Elitebook 8540w Laptop: internal keyboard does not work
I just installed Fedora 28 Workstation on my HP EliteBook 8540w laptop and it seems to work fine except the fact that the Laptop's Keyboard seems to be inactive (deactivated/disabled?). External keyboard works just fine. The problem occured at the first boot (Gnome initial setup). I had to use an rxternal keyboard to finish the setup. Checked the settings. Didn't find something to lead me to a solution or an explanation. I wonder if anyone has encountered that or has any idea where to look for a solution. (the HW is OK: all other OSes, including Fedora 27 have no issue with the keyboard) ___ users mailing list -- users@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://getfedora.org/code-of-conduct.html List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/users@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/IQ4PETH7JS6ZXB6GQ6F4I26VFMOAI7G5/
