I don't understand what you're trying to do. Can you describe it more?

It used to be that I could edit the files in
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, but I know I can't do that any longer.
Now I have to use nmcli, but I was hoping someone could guide me through
that process.

They are now in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/
You can also use nm-connection-editor which is very nice.

It appears I need to create a profile, then activate it? But I want all
6 usable addresses from the /29 and the one /32 address to be active at
the same time, much like we used to do with eth0 and eth0:0, eth0:1, etc.

You can add as many addresses as you want to an interface. You don't
need the :n any more.

I've done quite a bit of reading of nmcli tutorials, and none seem to
discuss how to not only add a /29 (+ipv4.addresses ?) but also have it
active at the same time as the /32 I already have.

That's a rather specific and strange setup to have a tutorial for.

Adding /29 netblock to existing system

2022-06-06 Thread Alex
Hi,

I have a fedora36 system with a single static IP. I'd now like to add a /29
to it. Ideally, I'd like to create a bridge and associate all IPs with that.

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, but I know I can't do that any longer. Now
I have to use nmcli, but I was hoping someone could guide me through that

nice screenshots. I like the "prudent" selection of apps.
I might have to try it on the next box.

Yes I'll accept that
I have an old 686 desktop thats still running F30, when they finally
abandoned the updates.
Its running a 5.16-rc4 kernel now :-)
video resolution on distro kernel dropped to VGA quality at some point,
I had to do something ;-)

I ended up putting Bodhi Linux on the toshiba laptop
cuz it targets low-mem, low-disk, slow-cpu machines,
like these old machines I have lying around.

Re: Kernel 5.18 Test Week 2022-06-05 through 2022-06-11

2022-06-06 Thread murph nj
I did enough that I should have gotten to Kernel Tester IV in the last
Kernel test week. I submitted them with my account, and got back
the notifications stating that the tests were run.
I'll start working on this round, but it would be good to see that nudged
along.

Thanks,

Hey, Thanks for helping out!
We have Kernel Science Tester badge given out after a few sets of
successful report submission.
Make sure to submit your log file by signing in to
https://apps.fedoraproject.org/kerneltest.
Submission should trigger the badge allocation... but if it doesn't let me
know after the test week, I need to
file things to the badges team.

We have a Kernel Test Week Participation badge is underway as well

Happy Testing!
