Fedora 38 - OpenBox destop environment not 100% in package
I try to install and use OpenBox on Fedora 38 but dnf doesn't install Obmenu, the Openbox themes are not shown in Onboard preference. I use dnf tool to install mistral but is not shown in the Onboard theme area. Any idea about this? I read this article https://www.theregister.com/2022/04/27/fedora_starts_to_simplify_linux/. The question is whether we can still use old laptops. I have an HP 6710b and it works very well at the moment with Fedora 36. In this case, my opinion is that the development team will release a special Fedora Spin for laptops with old hardware. 1. Yes, I upgrade Fedora from version 34. 2. I install the Free and Nonfree repos to test another way to install the wifi device. 3. I try to see if the wl module is working and no: modprobe wl modprobe: FATAL: Module wl not found in directory /lib/modules/5.14.12-300.fc35.x86_64 I think is a problem with interface wlan0, not sure this is from the Fedora update versus HP laptop special wifi key or is a bug... After the upgrade with F35, I got some errors on wifi. Now I saw the adapter is not shown but is listed on hardware. If I press the wifi button then start the airplane mode and is set to on. I want to map my Fn key to work on LXDE environment.
The Fn key is the wakeup key when the machine is suspended. If anyone wants to map it to other functions, then that's okay. I want to map the Fn key on Fedora 33 LXDE. The chrony has that file. ... for ntp feature, the folder /var/lib/ntp/ is empty even the ntpd is working. I will use chronyd, but is this a real problem with ntp feature? It looks to me as if that 'driftfile' reference is just defining the > location of the file that holds the offset and drift rate. the sound device was gone ... the pavucontrol tool shows an input sound play but on virtual output, Dummy Output ... I don't see anything with the hardware with this tool. I want to set the update to a stable version of Fedora distro after I follow an system upgrade.
