I want to map my Fn key to work on LXDE environment.

2021-02-14 Thread Cătălin George Feștilă
The Fn key is the wakeup key when the machine is suspended.
If anyone wants to map it to other functions, then that's okay.
I want to map the Fn key on Fedora 33 LXDE.

My keyboard hardware come with an Fn key, see:

These are the infos about my Linux and hardware:
$xmodmap -pke | grep "=$"
keycode 8 =
keycode 93 =
keycode 97 =
keycode 103 =
keycode 120 =
keycode 132 =
keycode 149 =
keycode 154 =
keycode 168 =
keycode 178 =
keycode 183 =
keycode 184 =
keycode 197 =
keycode 202 =
keycode 217 =
keycode 219 =
keycode 222 =
keycode 230 =
keycode 247 =
keycode 248 =
keycode 249 =
keycode 250 =
keycode 252 =
keycode 253 =

The Fn key is disable because I don't have a response from xev command:
$ xev

The GRUB starts with:
$ cat /etc/default/grub
GRUB_TIMEOUT=5
GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="$(sed 's, release .*$,,g' /etc/system-release)"
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_DISABLE_SUBMENU=true
GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=/dev/mapper/fedora-swap rd.lvm.lv=fedora/root
rd.lvm.lv=fedora/swap rhgb quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux selinux=1 enforcing=1
GRUB_DISABLE_RECOVERY="true"

Re: How to build rpm Krita from krita.spec ?

2021-02-08 Thread Cătălin George Feștilă

Thanks to everyone for all the information. It is quite difficult to create
packages from the source code for Fedora, I tried with this software. It seems
that the Fedora team is keeping its distance in teaching users to create new
packages.

I start with Krita source code to test this feature.
I don't know all tools involved into build rpm actions and all outputs errors

Maybe my file krita.spec is wrong.
Why the Fedora team don't have good tutorials and examples about how to build

I used this tutorial to build the Krita from sources:
https://docs.krita.org/en/untranslatable_pages/building_krita.html#preparing-your-development-environment.

This is the result of the rpmlint tool:

rpmlint krita.spec ../SRPMS/krita* ../RPMS/*/krita*

I will use chronyd, but is this a real problem with ntp feature?

It looks to me as if that 'driftfile' reference is just defining the

Fedora 31 Selinux MLS problems and errors

2020-02-16 Thread Cătălin George Feștilă
I try to use the Selinux MLS with Fedora 31,
After relabel the files and start the environment I get multiple errors...
This is one example of the MLS issue.

SELinux is preventing su from open access on the file /var/log/lastlog.

* Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests **

If you believe that su should be allowed open access on the lastlog file by
default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c 'su' --raw | audit2allow -M my-su
# semodule -X 300 -i my-su.pp

I try to fix it but I got this error

[root@desk mythcat]# ausearch -c 'su' --raw | audit2allow -M my-su

Fix to stable version of Fedora after system upgrade.

2019-08-30 Thread Cătălin George Feștilă
I want to set the update to a stable version of Fedora distro after I
follow an system upgrade.

I try to follow this https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade
This not work well, the output comes with fc30, fc31, fc32 versions for
packages and loop into this way, see the example:
...
Public key for zvbi-0.2.35-9.fc31.x86_64.rpm is not installed. Failing
package is: zvbi-0.2.35-9.fc31.x86_64
GPG Keys are configured as:
file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-30-x86_64
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful
transaction.
