H ... good question. Looks like I misinterpreted the doc. What I
need is the standard spin (as you said) and livecd-iso-to-disk. Thanks.

If you're planning to upgrade, you shouldn't need a LiveCD. Conventional
wisdom says that it's safe to skip one version when upgrading, and I've
never heard of it failing unless there are other problems.

It's a QA requirement that you can skip one version under normal conditions.

I'm following "Creating and using live CD" from the official docs.

selinux is not onstalled.

You want to create a custom live CD? You can't use one of the standard
ones?

Creating a livecd for 32 on 30

2020-05-04 Thread Geoffrey Leach
Goal: to create an install live CD on Fedora 30 for v32.

When I did this a year ago for 28->30, this went without a hitch. This
time, not so.

I'm following "Creating and using live CD" from the official docs.
Packages livecd-tools and spin-kickstarts are installed.
This is an xfce install, so I'm using the fedora-live-xfce.ks
selinux is not onstalled.

So --

I can't find the kickstart configurator. If I recall correctly, it was
on 28.

livecd-creator appears to want to be run from the kickstart directory,
as --config=/usr/share/spin-kickstarts/fedora-live-xfce.ks can't find
subsequent (included) files.

livecd-creator goes to the fedora repositories and then wants 1489
rpms. Presumably these are for v32, but that many?

I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks.
