Is this behaviour normal??

I suppose the first question would be:

How is this printer that is connected to a computer on your network
being shared by that computer?

Is the machine that the printer is connected to also running F-18?

On the remote computer. printer is seen as:

The computer where the printer is connected is a F18 system, the other
computers run on F18 or Ubuntu (that has the same behaviour)

You need to install network printers too.  This means you need to choose
the appropriate drivers to get a complete functionality.  Usually Fedora
ships most printer drivers, if the driver for your printer is missing
please try to file a bugzilla report.

Hope this helps,
