Once you have the setup done it’s a very powerful platform.

Sorry I wasn't more clear - it's echoping and echoping-dns that are NLA,
making smokeping effectively useless.

I'm investigating prometheus, but it's quite different and requires a much
more involved setup process, it seems.

What are you using to monitor network drop-outs and latency and traffic
problems? I'm already using munin to monitor service performance, and
nagios to monitor services, but I'm looking for something that can graph
latency in the same way as smokeping used to.

Ideas greatly appreciated.

Smokeping is in Fedora repro

I just read this in depth and is rather interesting about how to monitor remote
servers.

Thanks very much. I meant to mention that echoping and echoping-dns are no
longer available, which are critical to the operation of smokeping.

I also recall having a problem with EchoPingHttps and using it with CDNs
like Cloudflare with multiple domains on a single cert.

I'll check out prometheus, thanks.

Its here https://github.com/oetiker/SmokePing

Personally I use prometheus based tools for by network and service monitoring.
The old rrd stuff lacks so many quality of life features.

Fedora packages prometheus and grafana so it is easy to install.

You might want to install investigate these tools.

I also found this article
