Re: update to 2.6.32.11-99.fc-12.x86_64 lost hard drive [solved]

After a great deal of searching: during the update of Fedora 12 kernel the
LVM became corrupted (actual VolGroup spans two physical hard drives). I will
try to load a new operating system. Otherwise all the data is lost.

Subject: update to 2.6.32.11-99.fc-12.x86_64 lost hard drive

Hi,

Trying again. After the update of the server kernel on my server to
2.6.32.11-99.fc-12.x86_64and a reboot I lost access to my hard drive.

Upon reboot I get the repeated error:

mount: you must specifiy the file system type

sleeping forever

This machine is a Dell PowerEdgeT100 that was previously running
2.6.32.9-70.fc-12 perfectly.--
