Re: [one-users] Failed during boot
Note: i manually create the .img file by using command "qemu-img create -f qcow2 /opt/image/myimage.img 14G" . I'm very new to OpenNebula. [one-users] Problems with OpenNebula Express
Hello Everyone, I am student of M.Tech. in Computer Science in India. I need to implement cloud and then implement single sign on there, for this I am using ONE. Can anyone provide complete guidance to implement the Public Cloud and how to implement any application there like SSO? [one-users] Default scheduling policy used by opennebula
Hi I've gone through the documentation at http://www.opennebula.org/documentation:rel1.4:schg and came to know the possible implementations for RANK policy ( *packing*, * striping* & *load aware* ) . However, what is the default RANK policy used by scheduler when no RANK expression is explicitly specified in the vm template ? Is there any feasible way to specify a global RANK expression applicable to all newly provisioned VMs. ( maybe in vmm_kvm.conf ) ? -- Regards, Shashank Rachamalla ___ Users mailing list Users@lists.opennebula.org http://lists.opennebula.org/listinfo.cgi/users-opennebula.org
Re: [one-users] Open Nebula Images
Hi, We only have one small VM running ttylinux here: http://opennebula.org/documentation:rel1.4:vmg I'm afraid there is no repository with other OpenNebula VM images. Nevertheless, any VM which runs in KVM, Xen or VMWare should work with OpenNebula. There are many online resources to do that. You may also want to check appliances for the hypervisor of your choice. Also, in OpenNebula you can't run native Amazon VMs. But you can follow this guide to convert them to KVM images: http://blog.layerboom.com/2009/10/20/how-to-move-a-virtual-machine-from-ec2-to-virtualbox-or-kvm/ In any case, if you need support to contextualize and run these images in OpenNebula, let us know and we can give you a hand. [one-users] Storage Recommendations - Looking for thoughts / experiences for storage concept ...
Hello everybody, We think about setting up a one controlled virtualization cluster. What I'd like to know is whet you'd suggest as flexible and reasonable storag that performs well. Our Hardware already exists - we'd like to start over with a bunch of 10 Del R610 Servers all of them are currently equipped with 4 x 146Gb/15krpm/s SAS Disks using a local RAID Controller. Currently we'd prefer not to have to buy an additional SAN or iSCSI-Storage. What would be a good option in your opinion to have performance, some fault-tolerance and live-migration for the Vm's - In general do you prefer Xen or KVM VMs - and why perfer one over the other? Is anybody using glusterfs locally on the nodes to share stuff, any similar recommendations or experiences with a setup of this kind? Many many questions I know, but I'd just like to hear about your thougts and experiences with this kind of stuff. Thank you in advance for every reply, Cheers, Andreas -- - XiNCS GmbH MwST-Nr: 695 740 Schmidshaus 118 HR-Nr: CH-300.4.015.621-9 CH-9064 Hundwil AR Webseite: http://www.xincs.eu AGB:http://www.xincs.eu/agb.html Tel.+41 (0)31 526 50 95 - ___ Users mailing list Users@lists.opennebula.org http://lists.opennebula.org/listinfo.cgi/users-opennebula.org
