Re: [one-users] Deltacloud connexion failed with Opennbeula

2011-06-02 Thread seb delta
Hi,
I already asked in the deltacloud mailing list, but it seems like opennebula
have changed XML schema and the driver is not updated to that.
Can anyone see this error: http://www.fpaste.org/26Uw/??

No, i use the Deltacloud project, i installed it and configured at first
Eucalyptus and it works.
Now, i want to configure OpenNebula, it required OCCI_URL.
In fact, i will use the OpenNebula . The
address, on which the OCCI server is listening, needs to be defined in an
environment variable called OCCI_URL.

Any help would be appreciated.

[one-users] startup script should create dir if not present

2011-06-02 Thread Robert Schweikert

Hi,

IMHO the "one" startup script should create the directory for the pid
files if the directory is not present. Reason is that /var/run may be
located on a tmpfs and thus it might go away with every boot. Expecting
the sysadmin to create the directory every time or writing her/his own
script appears to me not very user friendly.

Here is the patch I am applying in OBS to build the SUSE package.

The directories required in /var/lock and /var/log are created by the
package in %post. However, for general use of OpenNebula outside of a
package install it might make sense to have the "one" startup script
create these directories as well. Although, since neither /var/lock nor
/var/log are expected on tmpfs, AFAIK, the creation is a one time setup
task and thus may not be desired in the "one" startup script.

Re: [one-users] Deltacloud connexion failed with Opennbeula

2011-06-02 Thread Carlos Martín Sánchez
Hi,

The Deltacloud component was developed and tested for OpenNebula 1.4, I'm
not sure how difficult it would be to update it for the latest versions.

Please use the Ecosystem Mailing List [1] for questions regarding ecosystem
components.

Regards,
Carlos.

[one-users] Few questions about opennebula express installation

2011-06-02 Thread Amber Jain
Hello,

I'm trying to setup an opennebula cloud using opennebula express version
2.2.0.

As the mail
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.distributed.opennebula.user/403 to
this list says:
"you need to set up your storage, virtualization, networking, users, and
password-less SSH."

I have a few questions:
1. Does above quoted mail applies to version 2.2.0 (i.e. Do I still need to
setup storage, virtualization, networking, users and password-less SSH in
v2.2.0 as the quoted mail talks of v2.0 and 1.6)?

2. Opennebula express documentation says that the installer does "SSH keys
creation". Does this means that password-less SSH is setup for opennebula
automatically by express installer?

3. My current network topology consists of 1 worker node and 1 frontend
server. I installed opennebula express on frontend server. Now, how am I
supposed to use "onehost create" on frontend server command to add worker
nodes to host pool? From what I understand, the first second command line
argument to 'onehost' should be the hostname (i.e. onehost create
hostname)right?

Thanks in advance...
