It is, indeed ! ¡ Gracias !

Debian Wheezy 7.1 x86_64 KVM image is now available on marketplace for every
OpenNebula user:
. Change its
root account password as soon as possible, moreover if you plan to connect your
VM to a non-private network.
Feel free to import and play with it on your favorite OpenNebula cluster.

Reviews, comments or suggestions are more than welcome.

Happy Hacking ! :-)

With vmware the image file system initialization is not supported. Try usin as
FSTYPE "vmfs_thin" instead of "raw". You will have to initialize the fs
manually in the VM.

Re: [one-users] vmware and scsi disk setup

2013-08-22 Thread Michael Curran
Found the issue -- after reading the online documentation about SAS settings
and Windows , I reviewed the VMX file -- this line needed to be added to the
template to completed the work of allowing the SCSI devices to start up
properly (they apparently are not added by ON as of yet)

I originally only had the DATA line, with model='lsilogic' -- you can see below
I changed it to lsisas1068

Setting the model to SAS driver and setting pcibridge to 7, wasn't sufficient
though as the VM still couldn't do anything with the PCI devices to complete
the SCSI instantiation

I needed to add the DATA_VMX settings below and now it's working as expected.

RAW=[
  DATA="",
  DATA_VMX="pciBridge4.virtualDev = \"pcieRootPort\"\npciBridge4.functions =
\"8\"\npciBridge5.virtualDev = \"pcieRootPort\"\npciBridge5.functions =
\"8\"\npciBridge6.virtualDev = \"pcieRootPort\"\npciBridge6.functions =
\"8\"\npciBridge7.virtualDev = \"pcieRootPort\"\npciBridge7.functions = \"8\"",
  TYPE="vmware" ]

Uniquely enough if I look at the VMDK driver ddb.adapterType , they both state
lsilogic

The VMX file is being created using the lsilogic definition by opennebula. So
there must be something different being done by VMware -- I will try to set the
following in data_vmx and see if that will work

scsi0.virtualDev = "lsisas1068"

Hi Michael,

At first sight, it looks like the first .vmx refers to a VM with a SCSI SAS
disk, while the second uses a LSI logic driver for it. Does changing the second
VM to use a lsisas driver work?

Hi,

In Sunstone you can sort the tables by any column, simply click on the
column name (ID in your case).
If what you need is to change the default order, please open a feature
request at our development portal and we'll consider it for the next
version.

Hi Michael,

At first sight, it looks like the first .vmx refers to a VM with a SCSI SAS
disk, while the second uses a LSI logic driver for it. Does changing the second
VM to use a lsisas driver work?

[one-users] Image error

2013-08-22 Thread SULEMAN Idriss
Hi,

I have recently installed OpenneNubla 4.2 on a debian 7.1 and add a host ESXi
5.1 , but I can't download image from the marketplace I got an error : " Error
copying image in the datastore: Error downloading
http://marketplace.c12g.com/appliance/4ff2d3aa8fb81d440604/download " . I
got internet on my front-end. And when i try to upload a directory with .vmdk
files the error is " Error copying image in the datastore: Error copying
/var/lib/one/ttylinux/ to
/var/lib/one/datastores/1/27e9542322a185ed39289ebcac0f7738 through SCP

My datastore system ("0") is configured TM_MAD = vmfs and default ("1") is
configured TM_MAD ="vmfs" and DS_MAD="vmfs"

Can you help me?

Re: [one-users] vmware and scsi disk setup

2013-08-22 Thread Michael Curran
Uniquely enough if I look at the VMDK driver ddb.adapterType , they both state
lsilogic

The VMX file is being created using the lsilogic definition by opennebula. So
there must be something different being done by VMware -- I will try to set the
following in data_vmx and see if that will work

scsi0.virtualDev = "lsisas1068"

Hi Michael,

At first sight, it looks like the first .vmx refers to a VM with a SCSI SAS
disk, while the second uses a LSI logic driver for it. Does changing the second
VM to use a lsisas driver work?

Hi Michael,

You should reference the files as they are located in the OpenNebula
front-end. If you are still experiencing the above (ie, the defined
files not being present in disk.1.iso, please send through the
relevant bit of the oned.log.

Hi Michael,

This issue is worked upon in the context of this issue:

It will be available for v4.4, but you can keep track of that ticket
for commits fixing the error.

Hi,

Your DS 100 is using DS_MAD fs and TM_MAD vmfs, that configuration is not
supported [1].
You should also make sure that datastore is mounted in the ESX [2].
