Now its working fine But I'm facing the onemore problem that when I try to save the VM using the following command . onevm saveas vm-id disk-id imagename onevm shutdown vm-id Here I can see the new Image details when I do oneimage show imagename but when I try to deploy the the new VM using the above image I get the following error . Because it could not write the file /srv/cloud/one/var//images/e0561a492c9aaac280479f2f0d85dcced9156fbf as the log file you have posted shows. Is the oneadmin user able to write into this folder? Also check your configuration, this // is not normal (but usualy should not be a problem). Eventually you have set / at the end of the paths in your oned.conf, remove it. Note: I use nfs for transferring the image . You need to have the folder /srv/cloud/one/var/images/ also available on the cluster node and there the user oneadmin (or eventually libvirtd) needs to be able to write into it. bye Fabian -- Message: 2 Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2011 13:25:40 +0200 From: Fabian Wenk fab...@wenks.ch To: users@lists.opennebula.org Subject: Re: [one-users] onevm STOP error Message-ID: 4e733234.1050...@wenks.ch Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Hello Bala On 16.09.2011 13:14, bala suru wrote: Sat Sep 10 16:41:05 2011 [VMM][D]: Message received: SAVE FAILURE 49 error: Failed to save domain one-49 to /srv/cloud/one/var//49/images/checkpoint Sat Sep 10 16:41:05 2011 [VMM][D]: Message received: error: unable to set ownership of '/srv/cloud/one/var//49/images/checkpoint' to user 0:0: Operation not permitted . [one-users] Ttylinux runs but other version gives problem
Hi, I have installed the Sample ttylinux example on to the KVM-qemu using opennebula tool kit , it runs really well and I could do SSH in to that . Since the sample ttylinux does not supports GCC I went with ws-tylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz (which Is given on the ttylinux site) image , I downloaded this and installed through opennebula tool kit on my vm . I didn’t get any errors it installed properly and monitored also, but I could not log in to that ... I checked through my hypervisor API, it shows , its running but I could not log in to that .. Is the sample ttylinux is provided in the opennebula is modified one..? I downloaded the ttylinux from http://dev.opennebula.org/attachments/download/355/ttylinux.tar.gz and ws-tylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz image from http://www.ttylinux.net/Download/ws-ttylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz Regards Bala ___ Users mailing list Users@lists.opennebula.org http://lists.opennebula.org/listinfo.cgi/users-opennebula.org

Re: [one-users] File data store and acces from VM
Hi, Thanks , I start my implementation with this . Can you pls provide link/doc which tells about how we do ftp / NFS among VM running on KVM with libvirtd APIs .. regards Bqemu 2011/7/22 Carlos Martín Sánchez cmar...@opennebula.org Hi, OpenNebula can help you with the VMs and Image storage, but how to share information among running VMs is more a service level architecture decision. You have lots of options, from an ftp server to distributed filesystems like NFS. It really depends on your virtualized service requirements. The only OpenNebula-specific solution would be to store static data in a CDROM image and mount it in your VMs. Regards. -- Carlos Martín, MSc Project Major Contributor OpenNebula - The Open Source Toolkit for Cloud Computing www.OpenNebula.org http://www.opennebula.org/ | cmar...@opennebula.org On Fri, Jul 22, 2011 at 8:11 AM, bala suru balaq...@gmail.com wrote: Hi, I have installed the Opennebula, and I could run the sample ttylinux example.
