then I did nfs mount the /srv/cloud of frontend system at the cluster end.

And then I try to to the SSH password login but get the following error .

Received disconnect from 59.96.107.56: 2: Too many authentication failures
for oneadmin

:

If I un mount shared nfs files then ssh login works fine .

How to over come this problem pls help ..?

I checked the uid at gid of the both users (front end and cluste end) its
uid=1001(oneadmin) gid=1001(cloud) groups=1001(cloud) .
Pls help ..

2011-09-19 Thread bala suru
Hi,

Thanks I just edited the export file as following.

/srv/cloud 192.168.1.6(rw,no_root_squash,,sync) .

Then I restarted the system .

Now its working fine

But I'm facing the onemore problem that when I try to save the VM using the
following command .
onevm saveas vm-id disk-id imagename
onevm shutdown vm-id

Here I can see the new Image details when I do oneimage show imagename

but when I try to deploy the the new VM using the above image I get the
following error .

Tue Sep 13 16:16:57 2011 [TM][D]: Message received: LOG - 59 tm_clone.sh:

Since I'm able to save/ clone the VM , I guess there is no problem with user
rights access to the nfs shared folder .

what else may be the problem ..? why it could not save the image .

Bala

Ok, I think this should also be fine.

the saveas and shutdown commands ,.
And also there are no errors in the log file .

why this cant save the VM ..?

Because it could not write the file
 /srv/cloud/one/var//images/e0561a492c9aaac280479f2f0d85dcced9156fbf as
the log file you have posted shows. Is the oneadmin user able to
 write into this folder?

Also check your configuration, this // is not normal (but usualy
should not be a problem). Eventually you have set / at the end of
the paths in your oned.conf, remove it.

Note: I use nfs for transferring the image .

You need to have the folder /srv/cloud/one/var/images/ also
available on the cluster node and there the user oneadmin (or
eventually libvirtd) needs to be able to write into it.

 Fabian

The cluster node (or libvirtd) needs to be able to write into this
folder. It looks like it is running as root, so you need to allow
root to write to the NFS file system, this needs to be adjusted on
the NFS server in /etc/exports (see 'man exports' for details).

[one-users] Ttylinux runs but other version gives problem

2011-07-27 Thread bala suru
Hi,

I have installed the Sample ttylinux example on to the KVM-qemu using
opennebula tool kit , it runs really well and I could do SSH in to that .

Since the sample ttylinux does not supports GCC I went with
ws-tylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz
(which Is given on the ttylinux site) image , I downloaded this and
installed through opennebula tool kit on my vm .

I didn’t get any errors it installed properly and monitored also, but I
could not log in to that ...

I checked through my hypervisor API, it shows , its running but I could not
log in to that ..

Is the sample ttylinux is provided in the opennebula is modified one..?

I downloaded the ttylinux from
http://dev.opennebula.org/attachments/download/355/ttylinux.tar.gz
and ws-tylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz image from
http://www.ttylinux.net/Download/ws-ttylinux-i486-12.6.iso.gz

2011-07-22 Thread bala suru
Hi,
I have installed the Opennebula, and I could run the sample ttylinux
example.

Now I have some basic doubts at putting the data in to VMs,, I have some
data in XML schema format and I have to put this XML file in the VM running
and retrieve it from the other VM which is running on the same host/network
... I want to do all these using XMP-RPC Using Java oca ...

How to achieve this..?

Hi,
Thanks , I start my implementation with this .
Can you pls provide link/doc which tells about how we do ftp / NFS among VM
running on KVM with libvirtd APIs ..

 Hi,

OpenNebula can help you with the VMs and Image storage, but how to share
information among running VMs is more a service level architecture decision.
You have lots of options, from an ftp server to distributed filesystems
like NFS. It really depends on your virtualized service requirements.

The only OpenNebula-specific solution would be to store static data in a
CDROM image and mount it in your VMs.

 Regards.
