Here you'll find all new stuff in version 1.6:

Named routes are there BTW :)

[OpenSIPS-Users] OpenSIPS 1.6.x: Route and Flags with text labels

2010-01-05 Thread Mike O'Connor
Hi Guys

I'm having trouble finding the documentation which confirms that
OpenSIPS 1.6.x support using a text label instead of numbers for routes
and flags.

I have a working system so I did not want to play until I was sure that
I had fully understood the implementation.

A pointer to the documentation would be a of great help (as I just can
not find it) :(

Thanks
Mike

Re: [OpenSIPS-Users] Can OpenSips support SBC?

2010-01-05 Thread Brett Nemeroff
Actually, what may be good is some methodologies on *how* to benchmark. It's
outside of the scope of opensips itself. But I understand Yin's point
regarding needing some stats to decide if opensips is the right product.

Because of the various things you can do with Opensips, and the various
programming styles and various hardware and network configurations any
amount of statistical information that doesn't explicitly reference a
particular setup, configuration, architecture is useless.

I'm not sure if easy_install can pick an earlier version. If it can,
just specify 1.1.5. Otherwise you can find it here:

http://pypi.python.org/pypi?:action=display&name=python-application&version=1.1.5

And you can install it with python setup.py install

Hi Alexander,

auth_ module simply does only the digest authentication. Whatever
additional check you may need can be done from the script, if auth is
passed. if you need some extra info from the subscriber table, you can
use the "load_credentials" param to fetch it in script.

the NAT branch flag you use is 7 (nat_bflag) and in usrloc you find the
branch flags in the cflags (contact flags) field. The cflags is a mask
with all the branch flags: 192 = 128 (2^7) + 64 (2^6)

Hi Yin,

Something like you ask is not possible - again, when you do a

I think that everyone off us use the group module for that task of ACL's, also
you could use a view as the table for auth.

[OpenSIPS-Users] Feature request: additional authorization conditions in auth_db

2010-01-05 Thread Alexander
  Hello all!

I have a question about authorization: is there ability to specify additional
conditions? For example, like it's done in postfix?
We check only username and password in OpenSIPS, but there may be additional
info, like "status" (active, suspended, blocked, etc...). So, if name/password
match, but status is not "active" - authorization fails.

It may look like this in config file:

  modparam("auth_db", "additional_conditions", "fiStatus = 200").

As I see, now this feature is not supported. If it's not planned to
develop, I can try to implement this feature and provide patch or modified
source files. Will it be useful for someone else but me? :)

As there is no way a server can request that to the client, perhaps you mean

[OpenSIPS-Users] Re:Can OpenSips support SBC?

2010-01-05 Thread 尹林
Hi Bogdan,

I found that opensips 1.6.1 has been released on 21st Sep. 2009.
I wonder if you have done some testing on it before release to the public.
If yes, then the result will show some tips of the performance, right?

Acutally, the "cps" is also an important performance reference.
So, I think there maybe a table describes the max-concurrent-session when the
cps is set to a given value.
The table will be something like the following: (the server environment is
ignored)

cps   |    max-concurrent-session
5
 1000
10

 900
50

 5000
..
 ..

I think this kind of table is very helpful and important to the users when they
decide to use opensips or other candidates.

Re: [OpenSIPS-Users] How to implement access control list on opensips

2010-01-05 Thread Ahmed Munir
Hi,
I want to implement ACL on OpenSIPs to accept the call on behalf of source
URI + IP address. Can anyone tell me which modules and functions are
required for it also which tables will involve in it?

Also kindly share some example template with it.
