custom information in the released POM

2006-08-30 Thread Peter Neubauer

Hi,
I would like to add some additional information as attributes/elements
to e.g. the dependency tag in the POM that is generated as the result
of a release, so the resulting tag lokos something like

   org.osgi
   osgi_R4_core
   1.0

 3
 true

or as attributes

   org.osgi
   osgi_R4_core
   1.0

Is it possible to have this information survive the release plugin or
what is the best way to get out such information in a standerd maven
way?

Thanks for any hints!

.sar-goal?

2003-11-29 Thread Peter Neubauer
Hi,
I'm trying to deploy a module as an MBean to jboss. It seems that I have to
create a .sar file that contains the .jar and some jboss-service.xml. Is
there any plugin like the .ear, .war etc. plugins that supports this?

Thanks for a great product - the Wagon plugin will take maven everywhere. We
are already using a borland-cpp-builder plugin for a project, and the
benefits of maven over any commercial building product are huge!

Re: Rep:Re: Rep:Documentation on plugin.jelly?

2003-10-01 Thread Peter Neubauer
Thanks, that sounds great. Will the description tag be added to both,
and can I help to do the work on the plugin?

Re: Rep:Documentation on plugin.jelly?

2003-10-01 Thread Peter Neubauer
This workd well for goals and properties, but what
about taglibs and tags? I'm looking for something like
the docs on the jelly tags.

I'm right now fiddling with the plugin plugin to
extend it to include tag scanning in the plugin.jelly
... is that a good way to do that?

Documentation on plugin.jelly?

2003-10-01 Thread Peter Neubauer
Hi,
I'm wondering wether there is a plugin that generates
tag/goal/properties documentation even from the
plugin.jelly of a plugin? I have no classes thanks to
jelly, but would like to generate the documentation
anyway.

Do I have to manually write the xdocs for this?

Strange variable behavior in comparison

2003-08-22 Thread Peter Neubauer
Hi,
I'm having another trouble with variables and imports.
Setting a variable str=1 in my build.properties with
the following goal

${str2} and ${str}
compare ${str == str2}
compare ${str == '1'}
compare ${str == 1}

gives me

project:test:
[echo] 1 and 1
[echo] compare false
[echo] compare false
[echo] compare
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
Total time:  1 seconds

When I remove the property there and import it from
test.properties, everything is fine and I get true 3
times. What is going on here? It seems that the
variables are there but they are not compared.
Even if the property is in both files, jelly screws
up.

Any hints how to fix this? Is it a bug?

/peter

expanding parent scope properties as filters

2003-08-21 Thread Peter Neubauer
Hi,
I'm having som struggle with the filtering of some
files.

The problem is that down in a sub-project, I want to
replace say
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@ with the property that is
inherited from the top level like:

base.dir=test
srcdir=${test}/dir

there are two problems:

ant doesn't understand composed filters, as it does
with properties. So when i just include this in my
current scope build.filter and load that as
, I get
replace.prop=${test}/dir.

What I did to get around that is to export the
properties and to import them again:

This works with the current scope, but not with
inherited props in maven. They get exported in a
parentScope=..srcdir=test/dir...
Which is not readable as a filter.

Another try was to iterate via:

hej ${entries}

   hej ${entry}

If I set the scope to parent, I get a StackOverFlow
error, but if I don't, I don't get the parent
variables.

What can I do to achieve the filtering?

Thanks for any hints!
