Sandbox inputSuggest
Hi, when I use inputSuggest from nightly build of sandbox there are attributes styleClass and style missing. In an older build it was present. Maybe something wrong with the TLD ? Regards, Oliver

I tried Sandbox inputSuggest, issues: 1. selectItems: accept map only, the order can not be preserved. 2. the pull down box is covered by other components(e.g. selectOneMenu) below it. 3. [MyFaces][Sandbox] inputSuggest
Seems like inputSuggest is having the following issues: 1) No ability for adding "class" and "styleClass" attributes. 2) When putting more than once (in a loop, for example t:dataTable), the components are not working properly, and the id is not being produced properly. 3) f:selectItems can be only a Map and not a SelectItem array/list. I am using this latest jar: tomahawk-sandbox-1.1.7-SNAPSHOT.jar Am I missing something? These looks like several critical issues to the functionality of this component.

I have problem with combining Trinidad selectonechoice partial trigger with
SandBox InputSuggest.
What I am trying to do is everytime the selectonechoice value changes,
update the list of InputSuggest.

I am testing my code with IE6 and FF2.
Once this page get loaded for first time, it's works fine.
In IE6, once I change the dropdown value, the new list for the InputSuggest
is populated correctly in the backin bean. In FF, the InputSuggest list get
updated and the suggest box appear but the suggest box style seems missing.
It's become transparant. The background will depend on the default
background.
In IE6, a "false" word with white background appear in the top left window.
When I check the source, and IFrame with id=_id4_textShim is populated. and
the suggest box stay as static content. What ever I type in the input text,
nothing happen but I can see the suggested list just below the input text
but the list content is populated correctly.

I think that I've many problems when I want to use one of the input suggest components. 1) I 've to use these components in a dataTable and it seems that none of them work in this context ( the id attachment doesn't work??? ) 2) My application communicates via https and therefore a message pops up (because of the ajax request communicate via http?) But I've to provide such a functionality so I search for a solution (but it seems not so easy...) BTW, I used the calendar component with MyFaces 1.1.1 (worked successfully in a production ready app) and after upgrading to MyFaces 1.1.4 and Tomahawk 1.1.5 Snapshot the same positioning problem appeared as in inputSuggest component. Hi, only for clarification: Is one of the inputSuggest components ready to be used in a dataTable. Please give me a hint, because I need such a component used i a dataTable and I doesn't want to investigate more time when the sandbox components not ready for this case. Do you know other components (maybe from other frameworks) for this case. The Sandbox, which is exactly named sandbox for such reasons is not your only option, check out Triniad and the Sun Blueprints, also you have a bunch of commcerial options available. Btw. one note however, I do not think the positional code is the problem, it probably will work, but what happens, if I may do a wild guess here into the air, is following: You probably have pushed the control into the data table and since the table does iterations on the model, you might get duplicate ids... check out your generated code for such a thing. In such a case it can happen that a drop down goes haywire because it tries to position on a totally visually different control. Dont get me wrong, we have used so far the ajax autosuggest and the table suggest in very complex layouts (not the normal auto suggest though) as well and the positional code has not failed on us, please check if you run into such a case with your datatable, such problems are very common with this control (people assume rightfully for instance they can push checkboxes in and then get similar failures, because the bindings do not reference all checkboxes for instance, just one) If it fails and the table itself is not the reason, please send us a markup of your generated html code so that we can start to investigate into the problem.

When I render only 1 row I've the positioning problems described above. When I render more than 1 row I get a blank box with the output "false". The input field have no inputSuggest functionality anymore. Is the usage of the inputSuggest compont recommended? Are there other components available with similary functions available? Hi, why not using the inputSuggestAjax component? I am sure the popUp will be on the right place because its inserted by the dojo framework. I already posted it before, there is an excellent component for doing drop down input stuff in the current dojo codebase, martin currently does something with it and seems to be quite happy. We should think about moving all sandbox drop down stuff if it is problematic into that one and have dojo handle the positioning. Currently the only two components I can think of is the table suggest and the normal input suggest, but in the long run maybe our own date picker as well (or simply replace it with the dojo one entirely)
