Netbeans 13.0 - Max "Source Level 14"
Hello, I'm using the Netbeans Platform Application 13.0, but the module properties show only source level 14. When is it planned to support 17? Best Regards Alex
Hide Netbeans internal modules in "update center"
Hello, it is possible to hide some internal Netbeans modules in the "update center" of the own RCP application. I want to show only modules of my own cluster / RCP. The most modules are hided by default, but some modules e.g. "JavaScript 2 Editor" defines the attribute "AutoUpdate-Show-In-Client: true" in the module MANIFEST.MF. This leads to it being displayed. Is it possible to overwrite the attribute of the MANIFEST.MF file in the corresponding module, e.g. by using -J-D switches / parameter with specifying the code name base of the module? Or is there another mechanism to solve my problem? Thanks in advance Best regards Alex
Netbeans Application Platform for Java / Open JDK11
Hello, Is it possible to build the Apache Netbeans Application Platform with Java / Open JDK 11? The "Building from source" tutorial still shows: Oracle’s Java 8 or Open JDK v8. https://netbeans.apache.org/download/nb110/nb110.html The problem is i can't change the source level of any module above Java 8 of our Netbeans Application Platform, otherwise a warning in the Output window shows that a higher version is not supported. Thanks Alex
AW: Netbeans 9.0 Final Release - Update Center
My development team consists of 10 developers. 3 developers work fulltime with the Netbeans Platform, the other works with C ++ / Qt for our embedded systems. Yes, maybe we could donate a few hours a week to solve some Netbeans issues or redesign some parts (e.g. Installer (nbi) / Nodes API). I will discuss this in our development meeting. That’s excellent to hear. How large is your team, could some hours in the week be dedicated by your team to working on improving Apache NetBeans, since at least some parts of the NetBeans APIs are familiar to your team?
