Anyway, one theory that we have already been discussing many years ago within

I opened that 32,000+ row Cornell file as an XLSX in 15 to 20 seconds. To
peek at it, I turn CELL WRAP on, and saw that some cells had massive amts of
text. I'm running W/7 on a 5 or 6 year old HP.

Well, after about 10 mins, this finally completely loaded for me -- WHEW!

Link edits will not "stick" after spreadsheet close

2013-09-26 Thread David L Babcock
I moved a group of linked spreadsheet files to a different directory,
and so had to change the links.
I used Edit>Links>Modify, and all worked well, except the modifications
were not reflected in the actual cells with the links.

The links worked until I closed the files. When re-opened the old
invalid links were still there, the edits lost, no joy.

I suppose the inventors of this cludge had a really good idea, but it
eludes me. What scares me is I think it DID work last year some time.
Not easily, perhaps I fiddled around, got lucky, pushed the secret button.

I finally obliterrated all the link and rebuilt them, but this is not a
good workaround...

Need to find that secret. Anybody?

Re: Fwd: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

2013-09-26 Thread Peter Junge

Mike,

you seem to have sent the mail to 'gmail@openoffice.apache.org'. You
rather need to the request to unsubscribe to
'users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org'.

One question, where did you find the former email address? Maybe that's
the clue why a couple of other people complain as well that they're
unable to unsubscribe.

best regards,
Peter

That's not enough.
After sending above email you get a confirmation email which you must
respond.

That should be obvious, hopefully.
