Why not suggest to Göte that he write in his native Swedish and ten use Google to translate to English? That could resolve many of the questions raised. FODT = Flat ODT file. A text document saved in the OpenDocument format, but stored as a flat XML file instead of the .ZIP container used by .ODT files.
